What is your nerdy passion and hobbies?

North West

I have a nerdy passion for history, most ancient and classical civilizations like the people who lived in the Nike Valley in Egypt or Mesopotamia (modern Iraq) or Carthage etc.

Bit of a nerd when it comes to stuff like and not afraid to admit it.

Jesus Christ what is it with you D&D nerds? Rubik is into his greek mythology 😂.

Me personally? Probably my family tree, that's about as much I get I to hobbies and such, I try different things but I get bored very quickly, it's why I love doing the family tree stuff as I can pick it up and look, couple of years pass and I find new information.

I've tried tattooing (I have some questionable ones now) ukulele (there was reason) knitting, painting...I'm not allowed to buy anything hobby related now 😂

Oh dear. I think they're all kind of wankers

The philosophical tradition handed down to us is a result of the oligarchic overthrow of Athenian democracy, which ultimately failed. Oligarchic thought became somewhere between discouraged and criminalised. Socrates was implicated in the overthrow, but fell within the terms of the amnesty - and those who came after him tried to continue the tradition of kaloi kagathoi (the great and the beautiful - think "born to rule").

It's all a bit "I'm just asking questions! Why are you oppressing me?"

It is also interesting how we write, rewrite, and reimagine various texts for our own contemporary purposes. It's now difficult to see Plato and Aristotle outside a theological lens, despite the fact they lived centuries before.

I made myself stop.

I refuse to go espresso. No. Just no 😅

It just looks soooo satisfying though! And if I go all out now, it'll be worth it in the long run, right? 😇😅

When I had my toes on the edge of crazy coffee stuff, they said you could get an "acceptable" espresso setup, second hand, for £500 after grinder.

That was 2010 😱"

That's the biggest problem along with the maintenance. It's just a massive ball ache if you're not seriously serious about espresso 😳

"I'm very excited for Alien Romulus

I saw Alien when i was way too young .. it scared the utter shit out of me! As an adult, im not keen on watching it 😱 🤣

I can imagine, definitely not a kid's film

I still remember the first time one popped through John Hurt's chest.

Yeah an then there was they wee face hugging bastards 👾😱🤣"

Because if you see a massive alien egg thing you obviously go right over to it and peer inside

"Mythology, particularly Norse and Egyptian.

Etymology: I love learning origins of words and phrases.

Wordplay: I love the ways language can be moulded and shaped for various effects.

I actually meant to include Greek in that list. XD

Greek mythology ?

Greek food ?

Greek in general ?

Or anal ? 😂😂"

Yes to all the above 🤣

I have no passions or hobbies.

I can't even remember what I enjoy.

I'm dead inside.

Another history need here, Norman/ Plantagenet eras.

I also enjoy buying books, which I think it's a very different hobby to reading books. I think I'll need a number of years to get through all the books I buy.
