Polar Bear Attack

Chelmsford

Two polar bears, which are the white ones, have killed a Canadian in an area called the Arctic. Responders killed one bear but the other is still on the loose. Authorities hope to euthanase, which is another word for killing it, very soon.

It's all over the news. They are dangerous buggers and once and animal gets a taste of human blood it can't stop

Nelson as a midshipman went onto the ice just to shoot one - it chased him and his fellow Matlows or Matelot ( if your French ) shot it or he would have been mauled to death

Watching a YouTube video with Steve Backshall called the honesty box, he answers questions from viewers.

How to survive a bear attack, carry bear spray, don’t run but play dead, you can even stand your ground and make loads of noise, it may think you’re crazy and back away.

Polar Bear, non of the above you’re dead, can’t out run it, make noise it’ll still come and play dead …that’ll happen soon enough.

If I was to swim in an area frequented by man eating sharks is it a surprise if I get eaten?

There's no difference in a area frequented by Polar bears.

However Tom is correct regarding blood,a polar bear getting a taste for humans is very real, without a gun we are extremely easy prey and once they have a taste that's it,once you pop you can't stop.

We are basically pringles for Bear's.

The poor victim was doing his job at a base inside the arctic circle. He had no chance. These buggers probably watched and waited and knew when the attack was most likely to succeed. These Polo bears are almost invisible to the naked eye in the snow. One was shot and red claret flowed down his white pelt. The other dangerous bugger is on the run..

I remember an advice about bears - "if it's brown lay down, if it's black fight back, if it's white goodnight.."

Polar bears one of the few species which don't see humans as threats. They see us as food. So unless you have weapons and can kill them, there is nothing else you can do to survive.
