The best way to eat a '99'

Just wondered how people eat a '99'?

Do you just take random licks or do you have a planned systematical approach to stop the drips from the cone!?

And do you eat the flake first or leave it until last???

I have a systematic approach to eating a 99.

One bite of the top of the flake and then I use my tongue to push the flake as far down into the core of the ice cream as possible. Then licks of the ice-cream going around the cone to ensure no drips. When everything is tidy then I go back to the top and have a bite of ice cream and work my way down pushing some ice-cream and flake into the cone. The final bite of cone should have a bit of ice-cream and teeny bit of flake left.

Now I want a 99... or something.

I push the flake right down inside the cone. I also bite the bottom of the cone off to make a mini 69

I push the flake straight down into the cone, lick the ice-cream till its gone, and then eat the cone with the icecream and flake in it.
