I don’t celebrate Christmas so I’ll be on call with work, but a colleague very kindly said I could have dinner with her family which is lovely.

Anyway, it’s spooky season first 👻

I get so excited by Christmas I often forget not everyone celebrates it so my apologies for that. It excites me so much I actually forgot that Halloween is first lol. I kind of see it as a festivity more for the Children than I do myself(I say that but in my heart I am one of those children lol). The lights, the love and excitement, the caring and sharing and the music even the smell of tinsel fills my very soul with wonder, I love it. Its for sure my favourite time of year even spending it on my own in unwanted solitude, for me you can't beat it.

How very wonderful and sweet your colleague is, I do so hope you take her up on the offer and maybe this year celebrate a wee bit yourself, not for how Christmas came about but for simply what it is today for some like myself, a celebration of love, thoughtfulness, peace, understanding and cheer.

They will not, too much tax to collect off purchase of trees, decorations, food that will not be eaten and unwanted presents. The country needs another Christmas to help pay for all the pay rises the government is agreeing to.

It's Christmas with Rubik son this year (have him every other) not sure if any of my kids will be joining us as they are all adults now.

I worked all last Christmas, we didn't have Christmas dinner or anything really as we were having a shit time. Not sure what the plan is, I might volunteer to work the early shift again as it's double time and I ain't missing the Gavin and Stacey Christmas special!

I grew out of the forced overconsumption and togetherness in the 20th century.

I'm sorry but for me, to be alone, is to be at sea with no mobile phone and skipping the church or some type of celebration wouldn't stop my search for spiritual elevation also no one wants to eat or spend to excess but doing it at Christmas is as tricky as chess and I guess that stress can be hard to suppress. The forced overconsumption and togetherness too won't stop me wishing love upon you the whole winter through. But hey lets get summer out the way first yeah!?. You won't be alone you'll have us and you may not go to church but I prey you hear its bells and no eating or spending to excess will stop others wishing your belly full of laughter and your pockets full of cheer. Forced overconsumption and unwanted togetherness are impossible things too when your talking of love and people that wish nothing but love upon you. Christmas will be what I make it, the same as my life and this year and next I hope yours is amazing. x

You know the only unforgiveable sin in Christianity?

I deny the Holy Spirit. "

Never been a big drinker meself either. x

"Also, just because you can't imagine how I prefer to spend Christmas, don't push your desires on me. I don't want any of that crap. Not even the superstitious vibes. In fact, especially not that."

"I don’t celebrate Christmas so I’ll be on call with work, but a colleague very kindly said I could have dinner with her family which is lovely.

My only question is can you avoid Christmas there or is it in your face, particularly from thetourists?

I realise that the Spanish do thing to a slightly different calendar of events.

I'm just wondering where in the world you can truly escape the C word without some clown thinking that you want to celebrate it wherevever you go to.

Our bloody expats are the worst offenders!

Local Tesco's(other supermarkets are out there) have had a pallet of tubs of assorted chocolates,Quality Treat etc in door way for a few weeks now

How many will stock up on them now and NOT tuck in before Christmas, meaning you'll buy another tub much nearer December

Christmas I’ll be doing absolutely nothing.

A run or hike in the morning.

Christmas dinner for one but it helps that I love to cook 😂

Then crappy films and maybe a nice red in the evening.

Happy with that plan.
