Love them, not cooked until they are soggy though - nice and firm is the order of the day

And the fart potential is fantastic. I'm getting fuelled up with sprouts the night before Christmas, as well as Christmas dinner, thus plenty of farts, hopefully my mother will go home early

this might be a dull question but can you "roast" sprouts ? I hate them when they have been boiled to death I like them crunchy so can they be roasted ????

Dunno about roasting them although I wouldn't have thought so, but we tend to steam them for about 15mins and that way they are well cooked, but not soggy - try it you'll love it

here you go a starter recipe

Ingredients

* 1 1/2 pounds Brussels sprouts, ends trimmed and yellow leaves removed

* 3 tablespoons olive oil

* 1 teaspoon seasalt

* 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (205 degrees C).

2. Place trimmed Brussels sprouts, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a large resealable plastic bag. Seal tightly, and shake to coat. Pour onto a baking sheet, and place on center oven rack.

3. Roast in the preheated oven for 30 to 45 minutes, shaking pan every 5 to 7 minutes for even browning. Reduce heat when necessary to prevent burning. Brussels sprouts should be darkest brown, almost black, when done. Adjust seasoning with salt, if necessary. Serve immediately.

Sounds iffy but taste delicious, I always what a knob of butter on just before serving any veg, esp sprouts
