somewhere

For you?

Just curious what it means to different people as I have come across people whose idea of what passion is clearly didn’t align with my own thoughts.

Carlisle usually

In an encounter I think of it along the lines of that all encompassing lust.

In general, I just love seeing someone I care about being super into something and excited to tell me about it or show me it.

Powerful mutual desire, basically. It can look different depending on the people involved, their mood etc.

What do you think it is, OP?

For me it’s being crazy in love with something… a person, a subject, music, books. Whatever that passion might be I adore seeing someone who is passionate about something. They’re my kind of people

I guess for me it’s something to do with getting lost in the moment.

For me, it's something you're driven and motivated to pursue even if there are sacrifices e.g. early starts to get out on the bike, travelling long distances to see an artist whose music you love.

Something that gets you really excited. Can be a person or a hobby.

For me it’s a mutual intense, lust filled desire for someone.

That look in someone’s eyes that makes your heart race and fanny flutter

Oh I didn't read the OP properly, although some of that still stands. It's getting completely caught up in the moment and focusing on nothing other than what the two/three/four etc. of you are doing.

See, I think that can still stand with the non-sexual stuff too. There’s passion between people. Yeah. That complete focus (“What if the point of sex isn’t procreation or recreation? What if it’s just to focus your attention on that person, like biological highlighter?”) But having a passion for something? That’s about focus too. About losing yourself in the activity. Reaching that flow state. Kind of. Maybe.

Passion?

It's raw unadulterated feeling! No more no less.

Be it love or hate, it comes in mediocrity and absolutism.

It's what makes us human

For me ? It's just an emotion like any other that I allow or deny, like any other emotion, I suppose.
