It means whatever you want it to mean judging by previous threads on the subject. People make all sorts of judgements on people's personality based on this one word.

It's just another way of describing oneself. Like lorry driver, emergency worker, forces etc.

In my experience it's used by people to imply they work a white collar job, have a decently comfortable standard of living, middle class tastes and lifestyle and decently presentable standards of fashion and grooming. Possibly a Mercedes or BMW on a PCP.

That's just what I have garnered off of people using that description.

It means different things to different people I think.

For some it's being registered with a body ie a doctor or solicitor. For others it's wearing a suit and being in an office.

It doesn't half wind some members up though.

Wirral.

I always roll my eyes at the backlash and vitriol this one word attracts on here.

I'm happy to meet someone with that descriptor. Whilst in itself it doesn't guarantee we'll click, it implies a level of education and that is something I want in a FAB meet. Doesn't mean Dave the *insert choice of manual/blue collar profession* is lesser, it's just a fixture I may utilise.

Call me a snob/elitist all you like. I'll carry on doing FAB my way, as it works for me

If you can sign for someone’s British passport - you’re “professional”. Check the gov website for the full list, then you can proudly add it to your profile 🤷🏻‍♀️
