Do you have a go to comfort food?

Be it that you’ve had a bad day or you just need some inner calm?

Canvey Island

Sometimes. I try to lay off chocolate, but cheese is my weakness. Or Morrisons donuts, and they always put them by the door

East Sussex

Linguine, loads of linguine tossed in butter and pepper with a tomatoey, garlicky meat sauce. I

Followed by chocolate cheese cake so rich it sticks to the roof of your mouth with double cream.

Finally a cup of very hot, very strong freshly brewed coffee with half a box of After Eights.

Then just roll me along the floor to the sofa

Fried chicken and chips, not from KFC, but from the Asian shops.

The world could be ending outside, zombie apocalypse, alien invasion, but after 2 pieces of fried chicken and chips, I'm ready to tackle the world.

"chocolate but only decent chocolate"

Ooh controversial. Define decent chocolate.

Not really. Whenever I've been down, I've never really taken comfort in food. If anything, it just makes me lose my appetite

If we're talking about eating when I'm in a bad or low mood, it will just be chocolate or crisps.

But my *comfort* food - in as much as the one that brings me most joy is Shepherd's Pie in vast quantities. I have no restraint so only eat it rarely!

"Beans on very buttery toast is also a lovely comfort food"

Run a knife cris/cross across toast before you butter. More butter is absorbed
