So I just watched The Amityville Horror 1979 and I was wondering if there are any places in the UK where the paranormal exists? I hear York is spooky but I've never witnessed it for myself.

We've been in haunted pubs in York and Chester and seen nothing, the barman in Chester laughed about it. Things would roll along the table in York, but that was because the table wasn't level.

Transsexual Transylvania

You want spooky, come around to my place on Halloween. We regularly scare the crap out of the local kids.

Hell

I think you’re asking if there’s another high profile case like the amityville house in the UK, there is the Enfield house at 284 Green Street

Are ghosts like UFOs? They only seem to appear when there are hardly any witnesses or without a decent camera to record them.

We've stayed in various places shown on Britain's Most Haunted and - nothing.

We've also spoken to curators, but won't tell you what they said.

There is a venue down the road from me and the manager there has shown me a few CCTV clips that are pretty bloody freaky deaky,😧

Some great posts. Thank you all. I just watched the Original Exorcist for the first time tonight. It was good but I've built up a high tolerance to horror films. I think a trip up to York is definitely in order x

Blackpool

I have seen a ghost in the late 90s in Herefordshire. Genuinely, sober, no drugs. I know what I saw, and it defied explanation.
