Hey everyone, curious to know how do you guys find people on here? I usually go through the most fab’d pictures and videos, but I’m curious do people have preferences or ways they prefer finding people?

Generally local searches and "who's near". But most of the people I've connected with so far (mostly platonic with some potential exceptions) have been via forum interactions.

I live in the middle of the arse end of nowhere; believe me, I feel you on that. :P

As for the forum interactions, I just kinda participate in whatever topics interest me. I enjoy doing the forum games and have made quite a few friends from them.

My method has been forums mainly.

Socials also, but only more recently. Previously I was the mushroom at the dark corner of the room. Scared.

Never used search feature here to find a list of people. Couldn’t bring myself to do it. Not engaging or entertaining enough, and certainly not going do use the two worded approaches. I have Decorum and self respect.

Albeit, I think that I might be in the process of change confidence wise.

I like friendships first. Where we're both equally as engaged with each other, asking questions, learning. And then sometimes they take a different direction and I find myself thinking about them undressed. Kissing them. I think I'm a bit weird though.

I’ve got chatting to a lot of people through the Lounge.

I also keep an eye on the event threads and meets when I’m going to one. I usually create a meet so others can find me too.

I have various saved searches I look through regularly.

More recently, I’ve met women at group socials and arranged a one to one social at a later date and go from there.

Side note - I’ve noticed that since fab updated the “local updates” feature I seem to get significantly less messages. It’s flawed because many many people don’t put “men” in the looking for field, due to reasons of discretion.

So they’ve made it harder to now find people in passing

People find me lol. I never message first, rarely if I do and even then it's been only to compliment someone, there was a forum user (no longer around these parts or changed their name) who had a brilliant username and profile, that was an exception to my "not messaging first"

I wouldn’t have thought this would be a successful way as surely those people will have a zillion messages in their inbox

We are lazy fabbers these days, kind of right place at the right time if someone messages that takes our fancy, planning is not our strong point anymore
