Negative verifications

I have never seen a negative verification on here.

Like eBay do you think there should be

Positive

Neutral

Negative

Whilst it is all up to one persons perception of another person or persons do you think there should be the ability to say something.

If you receive a negative verification and decide not to display the content then surely people may assume it’s a positive verification?

"No, I think it would be far too open to abuse "

There would have to be a system in place and I’m not sure how it would work or be ratified

But if you leave a negative feedback and don’t display the text then it will be automatically assumed it’s positive, a lot of profiles will say they’ll only meet verified people and we all assume it’s positive feedback

Non positive verifications would not be posted and if it was a "summary" like 10 positive, 1 neutral, 1 negative, the summary would also not be displayed and if it was how would you know it wasn't a "joke" one like the poster above was thinking about doing? And also like other posters its open to abuse

Why would anyone display a negative verification though ?

So we are all assuming that all verifications are firstly real, also accurate and always positive

I’m just thinking that there are many reasons why something could not always be positive and would you not want to be aware of something before a potential meet

On eBay if neutral or negative feedback is left both sides have a right to answer it before it’s published.

I know it would be a lot of work for the admins which are voluntary but would people not feel safer if they knew any potential red flags before meeting

If you wanted to eat out and there was a verification from wayne and waynetta slob

telling you how wonderful the local greasy spoon was - would you book your night out there?

A verification only needs to verify that if you have said you are a 45 year old bloke with all your own teeth and hair then that is true.

Some of the explicit verifications on here aren't a good selling point either

People should make their own minds up

All over the place! Northwesr, , Southwest

Some people state they don't do veris, positive or otherwise.

I think in a general sense if people were unsatisfied with a meet they wouldn't leave a verification to begin with.

I think verifications should just be a tick someone gives you to confirm you were as expected. All the words are pointless drivel.

Maybe that’s the answer. Verifications based on who you are in reference to your profile.

As an example many years ago I met someone who said they were 43, they were actually in their 60s.

I don’t have an issue with the age. The issue I have is not being told the truth in advance so I then have a choice to meet or not

Also was very early days for me and I should’ve done a video call

I don’t list my details nor do I look at others. It’s just the tick volume I look at

Noticeably older or younger

Look nothing like their profile

Don’t respect given boundaries such as a social meet first

I don't think negative feedback is needed, how would this be policed? Would we have to show every veri? Instead of a few (I know when we ran a social for a year, we racked up alot).

I do think there should be a function for time wasters though, I'm not sure what though but again, not sure how that could be policed and still could be open to abuse.

Probably leave it as it is 😂

But those are all things we as expected adults should check out ourselves first, no?

Firstly, Verifications are simply to prove youre a real person. They're not trust pilot reviews and plenty of people do not show them already.

Secondly, appart from the abuse it would obviously receive from some, who would acctually show a negative review?

It's as good as it can be.

That all said, I think the club reviews could do with a bit of an overhaul but that's club reviews not verifications.

Veris just mean someone turned up and was the right gender

Any additional info is optional and subjective. That woman that 'sucks like a dyson' might only be an old Electrolux in someone else's eyes.

Dont put too much emphasis on veris. Its purpose is to establish from a third party source that this profile has been confirmed as a real person either by cam or more importantly to me by a meet in person. I dont look to the veris for a character reference I prefer to make that assessment myself. Everyones likes and dislikes are different and just because they didnt hit off with the author of the veri doesnt mean they wont with me or visa versa.

Central

It wouldn't work, especially as a huge free site, without the resources of the likes of Trip Advisor, eBay etc, who can manage it.

Plus people would just ditch a profile with anything that's a deterrent to others. And we have more than enough who come and go like cockroaches, as it is.

All verifications need to say is the person is genuinely who they say they are.....all other points are mute as what one person liked other's may not x

I wouldn't verify someone if it was a shit meet. I have been asked for a veri when the meet was a bit 'meh' and I have no desire to repeat. You can tell those as they are short and focus on a positive thing about the person, but anyone that read a range of veris I have given would know that it wasn't a top drawer experience for me

I don’t put much emphasis on them, I don’t display mine because I’m a private person and who I meet is my own business.

However I have seen some that while not negative definitely left me with the impression that the reviewer didn’t have the most wonderful of times.
