Hi all,

Just curious as someone who has been on and off this site for a while .

What makes a good profile and what stands out as an obvious bad one?

Would be interested to hear from experienced members.

Somewhere In The Ether…

A bit of humour is always good.

It simultaneously serves to show that the person has a sense of fun whilst also making them more approachable as opposed to those stringent list of demands type profiles which feel more like a scolding upon merely perusing them.

This is why I recently rewrote my entire bio; I was not at all showcasing my sense of humour with the one I had before.

Informative bio

A selection of pictures that allow one to see the person’s style, body type, not their bits though

Something to grab one’s attention. This can vary and there isn’t a single answer.

I’ve just had a ganders and it’s a brilliant profile 😀😀👍🏻 I believe that humour is a very useful tool in putting people at ease and thus is excellent at facilitating communication.

I’m certainly lacking in both areas ! I’m not one to take the camera out in social settings or on my own which really isn’t good for showing a good online presence

Chinese Takeaway near you

For me:

-it’s short and to the point

-comes across as friendly and warm not angry and moody lol

- variety in pics 😉

- bit of personality and humour 🥳

Doing a solo photo shoot, I think most of us feel a bit silly, but it pays off

I'm very bad at writing about myself, but it's better then it was when I first joined lol.

I'm going to say pictures first. Don't need many, just a few really well selected ones. For couples, of both of you. Ideally ones that also express a bit of personality. Because for most people I think that's what they check first. After all I think as a baseline we want an element of physical attraction.

Then a good bio. Not war and peace, because we can't really know until we meet in person anyway. Just a little something to give a vibe of who you are personality wise and maybe briefly what you're down for.

And don't pick a shit username is also a top tip. Sometimes you read a usernames and it's over before you've even looked at the bio.

So you don't need volume, just be conscientious of the selected content you put in and username. Just enough to entice people to want to find out more.

The dick pic is the most controversial. I have had woman request it straight away and others that really don’t want to know haha

This is sound advice. Thanks ! Aside from face picture would semi nude / nude be expected?

Intriguing bio and pics which get the mind working.

They regularly update pics to keep interest and show off different parts of them.

Something that shows the body I'd say. Doesn't have to be nude or even semi nude, can happily be fully clothed. Just something that gives people an idea of your physicality.

General rule of thumb be very wary of cock shots, you really don't need them to catch a bite. You probably going to turn more people away with a cock shot than you are going to entice with one. That I believe is the maths on that one.

I always think a gym photo is quite cringe but that might be the best opportunity. I do have a cock shot so I’m going to turn that private after reading this

It depends - ours aren’t graphic or porny

If a video on a profile is just of a guy wanking or people fucking then it’s not going to enhance anything (in our eyes) but it might for others.
