"It’s up to you really. Some people never chat away from Fab. Others, may prefer to chat on Telegram or WhatsApp. If you don’t want to exchange details outside of Fab, no one says it’s a must. There’s infrastructure here for keeping in touch. As clunky as it may be, it’s functional. If someone had expectations of you that don’t align with what you can meet or want to meet, then choose to be in control of your options. However, sadly, from what I read in the forums it is not an uncommon responce. (imho it'd be an winning entry in the race for the block button) Personally I've had chats which have quite quickly out-grown the limitations here; and I've had chats that have always stayed within FAB - play it by ear, but if new don't be in a hurry to move away from fab, aand never let anyone push you in to it.
