Funny topic...

What's peoples thoughts in vaping?

I got into the spiral of social vaping but I know some people don't like it and others love a vape...

I stopped last year but feel I could be back on it...

I vape. Used it to quit a 20 year+ smoking habit.

I've never had anyone object or complain about it.

It’s as vile as smoking when it’s done in public.

We do not need to inhale your exhaled flavoured water vapour.

Also expect there to be health complications from chronic usage.

We already know it can lead to EVALI and COPD.

I’ve tried it a couple of times and don’t really like it. I dint like the sweet taste. I do enjoy a Marlboro cigarette now & then , Especially in the pub with a pint although my favourite pub here has just banned smoking but not baking

I'm not a fan. I don't have anything against vapers, but the vapour tends to give me migraines.

It's better than smoking.

Don’t mind vaping but don’t like vapers. They think because it smells like mango and pomegranate they can blow it in your face. Pricks.

Nope, to me similar to smoking - I have no wish to inhale smoke or some weird smell. Plus it's damaging to the vapors health (chemicals and oils in the lungs)

"No one seems to be bothered by it."

Many are, including myself. (Although in many respects it is preferable to smoking tobacco.) Objections ro vaping would be very similar to smoking.

I’ve also noticed that for those who vape, it’s ever present. With a cigarette you tend to have one and get on with things, while the vape is chuffed on constantly.

I don't really like it. Hard to explain. Isn't that satisfying cor me. But, with someone who doesn't smoke? I'll take a few puffs of a vape and I'm good for 16+ hours.

"We do not need to inhale your exhaled flavoured water vapour."

Except, it isn’t water vapour, despite what a lot of people think. It’s vapour from chemical substances.

I'm not sure that blowing stuff in people's faces is a good thing no matter what it is.

I don't want people blowing in my face, except if I know you Biblically. And even then, only in certain circumstances I consent to.

Respectfully I think you're misinformed

Vapes, also known as e-cigarettes or JUULs, contain thousands of chemical ingredients, including:

E-juice: The liquid that's heated into an aerosol for users to inhale, which usually contains propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin, and flavorings

Heavy metals: Such as nickel, tin, lead, cadmium, and arsenic

Volatile organic compounds (VOCs): Such as benzene, which is also found in car exhaust

Chemicals that can cause cancer: Such as acetaldehyde and formaldehyde

Chemicals known to cause lung disease: Such as acrolein, diacetyl, and diethylene glycol

Other potentially harmful substances: Such as caffeine, pesticides, and flavorings

I don’t like it. Personally I feel sorry for anyone who thinks it is good idea to breath any type of non natural chemicals deep into their lungs but it is their life and I am sure they know the risks they are running.

Don't like the sweet smell of a vape.

Happy for folks to vape, just not around me.

But do find it funny to see cars pulling away from lights with plumes of smoke billowing out of the window.

"

They are not 100% water, otherwise you would just have steam. Water may be present, but look at the list of ingredients another person listed. Therefore you will not be inhaling 100% water vapour.

I'm an ex-smoker. Gave up easily. I'm not at all anti-smoking so long as it doesn't all whaft my way (and I'd not come to sit near a smoker and then complain I hasted to add). But, I do wonder how bad it is for the health of the person vaping. Their choice though of course

That wasn’t what we said. We said they 100% have water in them, not that they are 100% water.

In other news wine, spirits and beer also 100% contain water.

Watermelon/peach etc definitely smells better than cigs or whatever other flavour they pick.

Cigarettes and nicotine make my skin itch.

It may be better if you didn’t vape or if you did make sure there’s no nicotine as you really do need to look after you health when younger

Hate them, they really affect my chest, and I have to ask people not to vape if I’m in the room.

I don’t understand why people use them, when we have no idea of how it will affect health down the line.

The ingredients of my vape liquid.

1. High Quality UK Flavourings

2. EP/USP Propylene Glycol (PG)

Food grade. Food-grade PG is found in products like seasonings, soup blends, teas, soft drinks, and baking mixes.

3. Vegetable Glycerin (VG)

Vegetable glycerin, also known as glycerol, is a natural substance found in plants that has many uses in food:

Preservative: Vegetable glycerin can help baked goods and other foods stay fresh and moist for longer, which can improve their quality and shelf life.

Sweetener: Vegetable glycerin has a mildly sweet taste that's about 60% as sweet as sugar, making it a good substitute for those looking to reduce their sugar intake.

4. High Quality EP/USP Pharmaceutical Grade Nicotine

Optional as I frequently vape Nicotine free

All Vape liquid in the UK and Europe is highly regulated. The list you posted is probably true for the USA and Far East. Oils and diacetyl have been banned for years.

Respectfully, I think you're misinformed.

Ok I'll accept your list of food grade ingredients, however that's food grade meant for ingestion not inhalation. Just what damage are those vapourised chemicals doing to your lungs?

It wouldn’t put me off meeting someone who vaped but I think it is rude to vape next to someone without asking if they have a problem with it. People have them glued to their hand and it can be pretty annoying (and sickly) breathing in the fumes.

I'll admit to being a non-nicotine vaper.

I gave up smoking easily years ago but Hubby was a smoker. He moved onto vapes and one of them in particular smelt absolutely delicious (I believe it was blue slush - like the slush puppie drinks).

I ended up buying one of my own when I found that there were low/non-nicotine flavours and am particularly fond of rockin' raspberry sorbet. It replaced my desire to eat sweet treats although I understand there are health risks to everything.
