Women and wet dreams is this a thing?

It maybe I'm incredibly naive but I don't know the answer to this question. As you can probably tell I have not woken up from a dream orgasming. This morning for example, I was having a very nice dream, I could feel myself tingling, I was getting there, I was getting there, I was getting there......and then I woke up on my own really really unsatisfied!

I wondered if my brain was stopping me, but I've never experienced one before. So my question is, is a wet dream for women a thing? If so is it lots of women who have them and do they have them often?

I can obviously only speak to what I've seen/read on the subject, lacking as I do the capacity for personal experience, but I did find this:

In 1953, sex researcher Alfred Kinsey estimated that about 70% of women had had sexual dreams at some point in their lives. By age 45, 37% of the women in his study group had had a sexual dream that brought them to orgasm. The women who had nocturnal orgasms tended to have them about three or four times a year.

Thank you for that information not quite at 45 yet, but even then just more than a third chance.....! So not fair!

It's just a subject that I haven't seen on here before, I woke up REALLY frustrated this morning and I thought that surely I couldn't be the only one?

You're most welcome! Yeah, it's funny how many things we just never really talk about as a society, where you wonder if it's even a thing because you never hear any discussion about it.

Like you, I’ve never orgasmed from my dreams and wake very frustrated and extremely turned on.

I find I have the best dreams if I nap during the day.

I’ve orgasmed in my sleep from a hot dream.

Not ever woken up wet though. Which is weird because usually when I orgasm I’m dripping wet for ages beforehand. I guess the mental aspect of the dream is so strong it happens quickly before that can happen

People might not believe me... But the best sex I ever had in my life was during a wet-dream when I was 18. I was having sex with a beautiful woman at a waterfall. She had a black bodysuit on and I pulled it to one side at the crotch and slid in her... I still remember her (sniff).

The orgasm wakes me up and I remember the dream I was just having!

I’ve had all sorts over the years. Best ones are with sex partners I have never ever met in real life before. I wonder where on earth that sexy person manifested from!!!!!

That is a point, I didn't even think about that. The speed of a dream can be so quick, so yes, I can imagine that you may not get time to get wet.

I can have the vivid dreams, I get tingly almost there im on the precipice.....and the I wake up or the dream changes to something random and I wake up feeling very frustrated.

I have the dreams, I get the feeling but my mind just seems to block itself from the big o. Weird how the mind works

Ohhhhh thank you for that. Another misconception wiped away. I thought men did when teens and it was just a biological function that happened on occasions as they grew up and was as necessary (Im not sure that's the right word) as going for a pee.

I have heard that if a man doesnt cum for a long time the body has to clear itself out and apparently wet dreams are one of the means to do so.

I have no idea if that's true or not either. Could be some truth to it though.

So that's why it won't be as common for women as its not biologically necessary, as they don't have stuff to eject. It is purely a pleasure thing, if your mind will let you.

Are you ridiculing here and through out this thread. You'll have to bare with me as I don't often pick up social intentions or can often misinterpret them.

I asked this question as it's not often discussed on the forum and as this is a swinging site and people on here tend to have in general an open mind, they may humour me with my query as I honestly didn't know.

Anyway, I hope you are having a good evening.

I've never had a wet dream. I've woken up a few times after a more erotic one and felt that slight almost throbbing sensation and between my thighs has been slick like I was close to one. Then proceeded to erm.... make sure I have one. Or two. Or three. You get the idea.

That is what I get and that is what I do. Buttttt, those first few seconds of 'i was soooo nearly there, why did I wake up?!' really annoying me. But I sort myself out and am pleased I had such good dreams. But initially, I'm so annoyed that my mind didn't let me finish.
