It's not good to comment on what the commentators wear but one swimming commentator has worn the same dress two days running and a gymnastics commentator looks like a deck chair.. surely the BBC have stylists

I like to see tv personalities rewear the same clothes. Beyond that I couldn't give a flying fuck what they actually wear

What do you do with your clothes after you've already worn them once Tom?

I'm sure you implied the wife does a good job on the laundry the other day, but why does she bother if it's such a fashion faux pas?

What's a swimming commentator doing running anyway... they should be commentating on the swimming surely..?

Rebecca Adlington isn't even wearing a dress tonight, she's wearing a blue skirt and white blouse. Nor is Clare Balding wearing a dress. Because I'm a saddo, I can tell you Becky Adlington wore a green dress yesterday. And a white dress with strawberries on it the night before. Clare B hasn't worn dresses at all.

Basically, the OP is nonsense.

FFS Tomble,

you are losing your touch! No fact about the Olympics or Paris. Not even a deckchair anecdote.

And quite frankly, I don't think this has made the news at all, let alone be all over it.

Are you tired?

Was the US swimmer male or female? Guessing it was a male. Not sure they would have the guts to critique a female

I only care if the commentators are good or not.

The boxing commentator, for example, is outstanding. I don’t know / care what he is wearing

Female. They described her hypermobile elbows as "weird" and "abnormal". The same commentators described a Swedish swimmer in the next heat as "beautiful". I don't think she was there to have her appearance critiqued.

Actually they where talking about it in context of her technique and the way her elbow bent back further on one side,it was not a criticism it was an observation something they do for nearly all the swimmers in regards technique.

Given that swimming is probably 95% technique swimmer's even at a basic level spend most of their time assessing and working on every minute detail.

And commentators are there to critique performance.

I heard it and noone was going ewwww gross they mentioned it in passing for about 30 seconds.

I have hyper mobility and issues with my shoulder due to a swimming injury,I just had to alter my stroke to accommodate with help from observations from a coach.

The words "weird" and "abnormal" are not valid critiques of a swimmer's stroke.

In an earlier session, they referred to Adam Peaty having hypermobility in his ankles but the words weird and abnormal were not used and yes, they only mentioned in with relation to aiding him in breaststroke. I have no issues with that.

Why describe the Swedish female swimmer as beautiful too? How is her appearance relevant to her swimming?

I also have hypermobility, btw.

To be fair, it's a very old and classic film. The Sound of Music by Julie Andrews. The Von Trapp children did not have any play clothes so Julie made them from old curtains. It's certainly feasible that a duvet can be recycled
