So how far have you or would you ever travel for a meet?

I know this has been covered and discussed before but I’m interested in peoples views on the matter.

Are you strictly local ish only or do you enjoy the excitement and anticipation of travelling far and wide for a day or night of passion?

We wouldn’t travel further than 30 min each way. That’s a massive radius with millions of people. If we couldn’t find someone within a 30 min drive we’d think there was something wrong with us.

I used to regularly travel 300 miles to Manchester for meets, 65 miles to London in between those northern trips! Fast forward a few years and I now live oop 'ere and loving life with my Hades ❤️😈

I've always seen distance not as an issue but an adventure

I have met long distance before although these were arranged through popular dating sites whilst in those areas.

But the idea of travelling purely for a meet appeals to me, maybe it’s the romantic connotations and excitement of it all

Travelling is fun, for someone I really click with. Cost is massively prohibitive so I don't do it often. The furthest I've been for someone on fab is Devon.

I wouldn't travel too far for a first meet, I've read too many stories where people have had their time wasted by others.

Local ish only (when I'm meeting)..

If I got to know someone and had met them before, I'd consider going further. When I was single I went to Leicester for a night away, but we had met a few times before.

My fab, Fab friend is travelling more than 3500 km soon to spend a week with me. Crossing continents and many time zones to join me on my travels because they are impatient and cannot wait until I’m back to spend time with me again.

Before all the Negative Nancys come out, this isn’t some random friend. That would be creepy, I’d agree. This is someone special, not a first meet, not someone unhinged or unrealistic. Just someone who has the ability to manage their own diary, and the freedom of travelling. Someone who is making time for me, in their busy life, because my life is busy too.

A 4️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ mile round trip has been the maximum for me and I suspect there will be more in the impending future that require 100s of miles for romantic dalliances.

Nearly all of my meets have been far far away from London because of the Fab Curse™.

Paramours are impossible to find on London / Home Counties / South East. It's an inexplicable quandary.

I once drove 3½ hours to meet someone but I didn't repeat it because of the expectation.

I was told that because I had done it once there was nothing really preventing me from doing it on a regular basis. In fact she insisted on it.

I haven't been meeting for a few years now but if I ever decide to start again there will be a 1 hour limit unless I'm actually in the area for other reasons.

a place somewhat adjacent to you…

Whilst distance appears to the key factor here, and I get that, I do; sometimes the journey itself may not be distance thing, but can be measured more by its rigour, complexity or over all challenge, viewed maybe as a demonstration of intent, actions over words and endurance or resilience.
