Is a weekend actually overrated?

All I ever seem to do is catch up on jobs that haven’t been previously done

What is your ideal weekend?

My ideal weekend is no jobs to do and nowhere to be. Unfortunately this never happens.

I do like to go to the gym but I like to do that first thing so I can put my feet up and relax for the rest of the day.

My ideal weekend is a club in Friday, then getting phys and jobs done in the mornings and chilling in the afternoons.

I enjoy taking it easy and plan so that I can. It's great that shops etc are closed earlier. Plan to do the week so that you get the weekend that you need

Calderdale innit

As someone who does shifts, I'd have to say yes.

I love having the flexibility of picking when I work and doing longer days/nights. I tried the 9 to 5 life and It just wasn't for me.

Working shorter shifts but everyday, then having 2 days off to get everything done and it's Monday again before you know it.

My perfect weekend is one spent elsewhere so all those pesky jobs that I haven't got round to doing aren't looking at me.

An airbnb on my own somewhere quiet.

God no I love weekend!! It’s more about the mental break from the day to day and doing things that are sociable and tire me out physically. I’d just love it to be a 3 day weekend and it will be soon

Ideal weekend for me is a lay in followed by a light breakfast then a walk along the seafront for coffee. Lunch with a glass of wine followed by a siesta before a relaxed dinner somewhere nice with maybe a cocktail or two. Sunday maybe visit some friends or family, sit in the garden, read a book.

This weekend has been a nice one

Yesterday, I did a day trip to London and took in a show

This morning, I caught up on washing and ironing, but started early enough to go and have a wander this afternoon

Nothing major, a walk round the Sunday market and a sit in a shaded spot outside a coffee shop

I don't take weekends for granted

I did 25 years on call and weekends were never my own

For that reason alone, I always push myself to do something with the weekend that involves being out of the house

Secret hideaway in the pennines

Just lately, most of my weekends have been taken up teaching Shibari or attending classes and workshops myself up and down the country
