Not welcome would suggest actual hostility.

Ignored maybe, or just a small fish in a big pound of small fish with many younger and bigger fish for company.

All desperate to be caught and eaten.

For what it’s worth OP, I enjoy your posts on the forums. I can always find your at times sarcasm a delight. Even more serious tone messages, at times make me nod my head or empathise with you.

If you feel unwanted here, do realise there are people who notice you and enjoy your sense of humour, and contributions to the forums. 🤗

Most won't feel no ways about me. Some will appreciate me being here, and have said so. Others probably don't appreciate my presence, I sometimes get that impression. A couple of people have challenged me on things, I'm happy to have conversations with them and when I have they've always been resolved quite amicably and respectfully.

If people want to cuss me out then whatever really isn't it? If you don't like me, why even think about me?

I don't think I have the right to decide whose welcome here or not. That's enough for me.

Mate, all are welcome, but not all are included. Its as simple as that.

But that doesn't matter, if you don't base validation and worth on responses. And just do you...

I don't, I find it ok here, yes I don't get replies all the time, my posts go ignored at times but it's just how it is.

However I'm not a guy so I guess it's different, just keep posting, the more people see you around the more they'll recognise you and reply.

Sadly the internet is a world where people most possibly type what they would not say to someone face to face.

You can feel unwelcome or ignored at times but it depends if you want or require attention (in a good way) or from a specific person

I would suggest if you feel unwelcome here to realise this is a part of all of our lives. We are not all meant to get on and see it for what it is.

Also I have noticed the forums are becoming a bit more quiet recently but I also note that some people who used to be involved a lot are no longer here or partaking as much

You're not going to get banned because people don't like you and if a mod notices you've broken a rule you might not have been reported.

NB mods can't ban people just because they don't like them.

"Ever get the feeling you're not welcome here?"

Depends in all honesty.

At the start, very much so - especially because your're new, often unverified for a spell and there's too much suspicion over new profiles being fakes.

Now, we seem that people actually do read our profile and actually do seem to be polite about it if it's a no, or seem to want to understand our dynamic/their dynamic and at least try and potentially work out a meet or a social instead of immediately putting up barriers.

It's amazing what a green tick does on this site!

I'd say whilst there still are clear cliques and "if your're not in the gang" mentality for some I'd say the majority of people here are just here for fun and banter and everyone can get along without getting too heavy in the nitty gritty.

Im not moaning about it because I probably did technically break some rule. Obviously can't be 100% But I'm fairly certain a couple individuals reported something I believed to be very innocuous. Again, not moaning. I now know who not to interact with and certain things that could be taken the wrong way so it's all beneficial in the end 😊

That's not strictly true is it.

The more popular of the forum users, will be given more leeway in the things that they say, over the less known or popular users.

It's always been this way, for as long I've used the forums.

No, it's more just a feeling of complete indifference toward me. I'm sure many others experience it too, like your profile could be deleted tomorrow and no one would notice or care.

Not complaining - you get out what you put in and I've been lazy lately. But I think the sooner you realise most people here don't know who you are and aren't interested to find out, the happier you'll be

Not that I'm not welcome as such, I just think, much like Phil, that the majority are indifferent. And seeing as we're indifferent to the majority and not great ambassadors for inclusion and talking to everyone... that's fine.
