Menu and wardrobe change?

Just made the first coleslaw for the year, and I shall look forward to many salad days to come.

My summer wardrobe has not come out yet as it is still a little bit too nippy to wear shorts and short sleeve shirts. Perhaps another week or two when the day time temperature reaches above 10 deg C.

Has anyone else switched their menus and wardrobe for the warmer months yet?

I eat coleslaw all year round,as I'm addicted to the stuff.

And yesterday went shopping for swimwear and shorts etc for a holiday in 6 weeks, did seem rather weird. Have gone out quite often recently without a coat as my mind equates sunshine with no coat

My apartment is still freezing so I have the duck down duvet still can't wait for it to warm up.

The air cons are still in heat mode in the house, however, they are permanently set at 17 deg C.

I prefer it cool.

Aircon on all the time here. But it is 34 degrees outside

We have same foods I am always making things from around the world some very different .. and we barbecue all year around here just can eat out side ... I have the new Master chef cook book so doing lots of things from that .

Summer and winter wardrobe remain accessible throughout the year for me - in terms of food, yes, the salads have come out in force.

I love my home to be on the cool side excvept for the lounge which I like at about 20 - and definitely no coats anymore.

Just walked about 6 miles from home along Hove and Brighton seafront. Still dressed for winter in a fleece-lined North Face jacket.

Now sitting on Brighton Pier (known locally as Palace Pier) and eaten Chinese-style chicken noodles with lashings of chilli sauce. Bit different from mince and onions and steamed veg.

Lovely day for a walk....bright but a chill in the air. Spring doesn't seem far away but everyone is still dressed for winter.

Moved on now and sitting in the grounds of the Royal Pavilion....the former home of George IV.

This seems to be turning out to be a bit of a tourist guide.

We used to go to Brighton as children on the old A road from Coulsdon. I remember seeing a large, dead tree on the journey there and it always reminded me of that children's programme, 'Follyfoot Farm'. The theme music was lightening tree.

My mother was brought up in Coulsdon where her father had a garage and car showroom. She was evacuated during the war but returned after until her parents split up and her mother and three kids moved to Brighton.
