There's people I've met after weeks of chat.

There are some I've been messaging on and off for months who I'd like to meet but circumstances have prevented it.

There's never a fixed timescale.

18 months is probably my maximum. I won’t do that anyone. I will ask them straight out. If they decline or they have too much going on in their lives, then it’s time to say goodbye.

There are people I enjoy chatting to that I probably won't ever meet. We still message, and if I'm having one of my time-outs from here I share contact details and we message elsewhere.

I text with some just for the pleasure of the conversation, but those expectations are clearly understood by both of us.

Like on here a load of shit lol. I hear what you are saying but as long as your open and honest from the start that it’s just nsa then no one gets confused. Suppose as well depends what your after as well. If it’s just a one of meet then you don’t want no long chat.
