Supposed to be going out for dinner, day and place arranged, no time.

It's nearly 3pm and no contact since last night, after daily messages, all day, over the last week or so...

I checked in this morning, he's been online, didn't even reply.

Why do people do this?

Frustrated from Portsmouth 😔

Bummer. Soz op, suck it up and learn from it.

The worst is when they still expect to meet up after dropping communication and not checking in putting each others minds at rest. Unless that’s what was agreed.

I get the implication of interacting with a married man, and the potential for exactly this kind if thing to happen.

What I don't understand is, how it can't be a factor, as surely it's the main factor, well it is in my thinking. That would have to be considered.....

Mimi, this isn't a dig at you, just the hypocrisy and misandry of this site.

Here's a woman who says she's not heard from a fella so not sure whether to get ready for a meet and straight away we get the "his loss" comments and "your gorgeous" (how the fuck do you know she's gorgeous, she's got no face pics) and generally the outpouring of sympathy that you definitely would not get if it was a single male who posted.

Then, and this is the best bit, she reveals she was meant to be meeting a married man who's working away from home, and is there one post condemning her? No. Why? Because she's female? Because she's a forum regular? 🤷🏾‍♂️

Again, not having a go at you, Mimi, you do you, just pointing out the misandrists and hypocrites that occupy this site.

"Maybe raise your age limits slightly...?

Seriously, his loss. You're stunning.

/Some old guy

Why so you can message? You dont know how old he was, age has nothing to do with it! Could be 20 and turn up or be 80 and get cold feet!"

I mean he was 35, full grown man. Age is kind of irrelevant really.

"Mimi, this isn't a dig at you, just the hypocrisy and misandry of this site.

Again, not having a go at you, Mimi, you do you, just pointing out the misandrists and hypocrites that occupy this site."

You're not wrong.

I fully expected some not so nice comments tbh. And I wouldn't blame people. But I didn't go into details and the bigger picture. And it was only dinner 🤷🏻‍♀️

Luckily I have a great weekend lined up with another young man, who never lets be down

All I see is that single guys, will be finding it even harder to get a meet. Shouldn't arrange if not meeting, makes me mad

It's to easy to ghost with all this online stuff.

That's why I'm old school and meet ladies at the clubs and socials.

I remember listing to a podcast “vanilla to Vixen “

It came home to me that such effort and enthusiasm to get ready for a date more especially on Fab than in Muggle Land is them to be let down is doubly disappointing

OP - so sorry it puts the majority on here in an even paler light

No Show - is bloody bad manners at the very least !!!

I hope your other meet was double the pleasure.

"Supposed to be going out for dinner, day and place arranged, no time.

It's nearly 3pm and no contact since last night, after daily messages, all day, over the last week or so...

I checked in this morning, he's been online, didn't even reply.

Why do people do this?

Frustrated from Portsmouth 😔"

That’s a wanky thing to do to anyone . Gutted for you

Sounds like controlling behaviour or bulled themselves up to be something they are not to you and can’t face the meet, ignore them, forget them and move on, his loss, your inbox is probably full of people eager to meet with you and not just enjoy the chase xx

"Oh Mimi.

Call it now. If they can't be arsed to message, basic respect, on the day, show yourself the respect they should have shown you and don't stand for it. Unless of course they're Tom Hiddleston, he's worth waiting for."

Yep, I'd call it.

Definitely expect at least a message on the day even if time date place etc etc was already all agreed - even if it was a "just double checking we're still on for later" type message.

I don't think there's any point, when the OP posted that the person was married, saying anything. I thought well that's probably the reason why. Therefore didn't acknowledge it. It's not my thing to do but why knock someone while they are down. It is definitely a good reason not to see someone else's husband/wife unless the wife/husband is present or has given his/her blessing.

Polite, respectful and not full of shit isn’t desperate.

I once got stood up from a date because she had a wonky curtain hook and the neighbour was coming to fix it.

And then she deleted me.

Does nobody ever swap alternative contact details when arranging meets anymore?

Leaving the sole means of contact to a Fab message means it's going to be hard to get in touch with people if they're not logged on. If you've reached the point where an in person meet is happening is it not worth having a phone number or chat app means of contact? Most people would be easier to reach via one of those and it makes finding out if there's any change of plans far quicker.

Plus they can't use the old 'sorry, couldn't log on for some reason otherwise I'd have messaged you' excuse.

I suppose it's harder for the married and playing without knowledge crew to do this, but that in itself could be a useful tool if you're suspicious that they may be but are telling you otherwise? 🤔
