Reading the story behind Charlotte Dujardin's withdrawal from the Olympics, after being reported over something that happened four years ago.

It seems to be just another example in these days of social media, nothing stays hidden.

The whole story has not come out yet but sad to see an Olympic dream ruined.

Hitting a horse is not an ‘error of judgement’ as she called it.

Whoever broke the story has been sitting on that video for 4 years. Just think about that. 4 years waiting to ruin someone's career. I'm not saying what she did was right, but...4...years.

She's not under investigation for excessive tutting is she?

A bit of public relations damage limitation on her behalf possibly as she probably knows the outcome will be harsh if she's mistreated an animal..

Find it slightly interesting that the complaint has come via a Dutch lawyer. Thought they had enough controversy with their Olympic team having a convicted offender.

Tbh whilst that is shocking and looks wrong however it's viewed it's irrelevant to the issue you opened the thread about..

Whataboutery isn't going to alter what she did and what they've provisionally suspended her for which on its own is wrong regardless of the release of the video etc..

Indeed. Not so much a dish best served cold as cryogenically frozen
