At the spritely age of 53 I still have a full head of hair, some of it silver but my paper round is a big un …. Now I’m growing it because I fecking can but I’m in that in between phase where there is way too much volume and I spend most days resembling side show Bob, I’ve read castor oil is good for reducing volume but the bloke in the YouTube video proceeded to use a hairdryer and my man badge is still shiny, so all those male or female with thick long hair, solutions tricks anything before I get my clippers and bean it off ….,

Don't use things like castor oil!

There are such things as hair oils. Moroccan oil or Sebastian dark oil is decent. You only need a tiny bit and work it in.

Also might be worth upgrading your conditioner.

Other than that embrace the volume and get a trim now and then.
