Somewhere In The Ether…

Ey up again good folks

A quickie question for you all as the heat has addled my brain yet not it seems, my recidivous nosey nature….

Do you have a favourite cocktail?

Bonus question: Have you got a custom cocktail of your own creation?

Please do share it here

Deepest darkest Peru

I’ll always have a Pina Colada where ever I go but do like to try new ones

I did try a one with chopped chillies in earlier in the year, that was interesting

No. I like cocktails generally. Had a brilliant Old Fashioned recently, that was so good. Love a bramble fizz, my favourite slut juice (Long Island iced tea), a negroni sbagliato. I'm quite easy. :D

Favourite is probably a Bloody Mary, had an amazing extra hot one recently. Love a margarita, or would go go something fruity and gin or vodka based.

I have a confession to make. I drank for the first time on holiday recently and tried a Pina colada and an old fashioned. I quite enjoyed the old fashioned but my friends told me the cocktails weren't amazing so not sure if I've actually had a good one yet!

Mines a mojito please

When I was younger - too young to know better - I used to drink alcoholic Dr Pepper. Half a pint of lager with a double amaretto and topped up with . In my defence it did taste nicer than it looked, but I’m not sure I could whole heartedly recommend nowadays…

I enjoy a bramble, anything with coffee in or anything that has a lemony or elderflower taste. Basically I don't want to taste the alcohol as that tastes yuk.

Ryde

As a pure indulgence (and mainly because it was lunch out on a friend) I ordered the one cocktail I always wanted to try: a White Russian.

Coming in at almost a tenner, it was bloody delicious. My friend hadn't tried it before (even though she loves her cocktails!) and was instantly smitten.

She's a former member of Hot Gossip and was one of Benny Hill's "Hills Angels", and likes to stay in shape. It was only when I told her that it contained 760 calories that she suddenly lost interest!
