Porridge is stride ahead as a comedy, or Rising Damp, or The Likely Lads, I could go on, but you get the picture.

In terms of best show, you’d have to go a long way to better The Sweeney.

I agree porridge hard to beat although blackadder, the thick of it, new statesman, spitting image, several others all hold special places in my heart. Best ever shows breaking bad, minder, sopranos, line of duty (minus the awful last H episode)! Surely better than ops mention!!
