They are such a handy invention. a killer app.. you hang these little discs in places and then brush your phone against them to launch apps on your phone without having to go through the menus. for example to launch a satnav app you would hang a disc in your car and then program the phone to launch the satnav app so that when you get in your car and swipe hey presto instant satnav!

i think its a great idea. i want one its a shame they dont offer this with lots of other different phones too. Its a killer application I reckon.

i would hang a disc next to my bed to turn my alarm on or hang one on myself to unlock my phone.

its such a clever idea!!

Sounds good though with an IPhone one does not have to go through a menu to get to an app to open it

Samsung had a little toy with this idea with the first of the NFC enabled S2's, but it never came to anything, hope sony prove its a workable concept because i think its a pretty cool idea.

they just want to hope that apple dont start doing it too and try sueing the shit out of sony saying they thought of it first

its a good idea but having smart tags everywhere might really begin to annoy me. i know it contradicts my last put but having these little bright coloured discs stuck everywhere might start to do my head in. you also have ot remember which devices they go with which and what would happen if these discs got into the wrong hands. plus they are ugly and tacky looking.

Ive change my mind on xperia smart tags. i dont think sony gear is as classy as the walkman days. maybe its just me getting older.

You don't have to with the Xperia either. You can set up groups of apps on your homepage. I have favourites, chat apps, games, media etc. I rarely have to scroll through my apps screen to get what I want.

I got inked the wireless speakers with my phone and that's great. I just wave my phone over it to connect it and then can walk about the house whilst listening to my music on the speaker. It also doubles as a bluetooth microphone and speaker if I want to make a call

Might look into the smart tags. Are they expensive?

11 quid from sony site. im not sure im interested in smart tags though I think i'd prefer to operate my phone using its own buttons and things rather than disks stuck about the place

ill have to set one up for dogging... scan..

spray joop/lynx ..

eat KFC ...

put on wierd mask ..

scan another tag in the car..

boot up satnav...

disturb wildlife in the woods lol
