Chelmsford

Tom noticed a pineapple on top of the Wimbledon mens trophy. Is this a secret signal?

This was actually all over the news. At least in The Economist Times.

According to them, serving pineapples were a symbol of high status and since tennis is a rather lavish sport, pineapple probably ended up becoming an ardent part of Wimbledon.

The secret is out! It’s all over Wimbledon’s website.

I know a thing or two about bridges, and I’m certain those are stone pinecones on that bridge.

There is two theories I think then.

The one I know of is John Tradescant who was a gentleman of Lambeth who is supposedly the person who brought pineapple to the UK.

Only know this as I lived on the adjoining road to Tradescant Road in Lambeth.
