Couples rejection

Couples, how do you feel when another couple says no thank you? Or when no one is approaching you?

I've just seen a channel 4 show where a Mrs didn't get advances at a swingers club and she broke down crying.

Have to be mature and adult about it. There has to be an attraction and not everyone is gonna fancy you.

I think I've seen that show.

We've met people socially who have made it clear that they're not interested in taking things further. We take it on the chin and accept that we can't appeal to everyone. Rejection of any kind does sting a little though

It's a fact that not everyone is going to be to your taste and that's totally fine.

We have said no thanks to couples because we don't have the same dynamics or we just dont feel a connection after a social and people have probably done the same to us.

Maybe I've just grown a thick skin but it really don't bother me.

I know our dynamics make it extra harder as we only meet bi couples so their has to be a 4way attraction which isn't easy to find.

I remember watching that show and maybe their lack of experience and confidence showed, clubs are definitely not for the faint hearted.

I hate it when you say to someone sorry your not for us and they will respond with why. We never ask for a reason and I dont really give it a second thought.

rejection is all part of the scene if you cant handle rejection then you should not swing its that simple ats all about respect both ways it dont matter if your a couple or a single ..

swinging on tv is not as a normal night would be it attracts the oh look at me types and the dont really have a clue crowd because of the tv cameras and picks out the vulnerable to highlight every time swinging or dogging is on tv its crap 100% crap

I think he might be referring to a Channel 4 documentary called "Swingers" which was filmed at Liberty Elite

I remember seeing this.

We've chatted to couples before and most of the time it doesn't go any further than a chat (I'm talking in a club situation) I'm so blind though that I don't take it as a rejection as we always go with the mentality we are there for social reasons only, if we get to play it's just a bonus, I've never walked away from a club in a couple situation upset.

If we are talking a one on one, I have left a club feeling utterly deflated and confidence knocked, I never go out thinking I look amazing or anything but the one time I felt I looked good (when everyone is telling you prior) and you start believing it, then you get to your destination and feel ignored all evening, it definitely knocked me but then I was with my husband so men probably wouldn't approach me and I don't ooze confidence the rare times he left my side, I also didn't approach anyone either. I didn't attend a club much after that encounter and I certainly never went to a club again with that kind of confidence.

Our meets have come from them approaching us, maybe the rejection is what we are avoiding who knows.

It's fairly common on a club night for people not to approach us, we'll chat to some people, play with each other and still have a good night. We wouldn't initiate play unless the signals are there so don't ever get a "no thank you". In the program you're talking about the Lady didn't seem of the right mindset to be attending a Swingers Club.

When I was part of a couple on this scene we always took it well. We always saw it as it’s just personal preference and finding couples where everyone is attracted to each other is tough.

Just have to be mature about it and realise it’s nothing against you as a couple or your attractiveness

Rejection is a big part of this lifestyle and especially in couples looking to meet couples as the 4 way attraction and/or getting on with each other is harder to match up.

So we take rejection ok, as we have our preferences and we can’t expect others to match ours and us theirs all the time.

We were just talking about this show and trying to figure out what club it could've been. We now know.

As for the rejection you can't like everyone and vice versa. But you also need to make the effort when at a club. We've arranging meets at clubs so know there'll definitely be some action
