Ever been accused of stealing other people's photos?

Not on this site (we have to stress, otherwise we wouldn't be posting about it), but have just had the dubious pleasure of being accused of such things elsewhere.

Out of the blue, we received a message from a guy asking if I (John) had met a woman he had been messaging ages ago, as a photo on that particular site apparently looked just like her. The eyes were fuzzed out, as we value our privacy. Thinking nothing of it, I said that I hadn't met her, and that there's about 300 miles separating us all, it was very unlikely I ever would.

I thought nothing of it, but 2 days later, had another message from him, not as jovial, asking I had taken her as my sub (refusing to credit that my wife - Kaz - existed) and not told anyone. According to him, and demanding to know if I had ever met this mystery woman. I ignored the crazy person, as we all know that the BDSM scene can spark jealousy when someone loses their sub to another Master/Mistress. And this guy hadn't even met the woman in question!

But the next day, we had another message flat-out TELLING us that I had pinched this particular photo from said mystery woman, as there was "no question" that it was her in the picture. Our response was to politely tell him that Kaz has never been north of the Watford Gap, that we have over 200 photos of her on another site (this one, obviously!) which all look exactly like my wife. We have a few verifications on that site, too, all of which vouch for our validity.

We're awaiting another reply, but the site in question has no mediation, and even when being directly harassed, all you get when you contact is a generic message telling you to block the user in question. We've had harassment on Fab, but it was dealt with in exemplary fashion.

Probably a mountain out of a molehill, but the top & bottom of it? That the word "disconcerting" just doesn't cover how the belief they are right can override common sense and drive some into threats and harassment.

Tell them to fuck off and block. If they believe that to be true then tell them to report it.

People are weird

To my knowledge I've not had photos taken. But I know of two profiles who've plagiarised my profile text

We haven't blocked him yet, as we want to see where he goes from here.

Looking at well-known porn photo hosting site not long ago, we were shocked to find explicit photos of a friend of ours, with her face in plain view. The person who posted even managed to put her real name on them, as well as some of her location details.

There really are some twisted people out there.

I'm sorry to hear your plight, OP.

No, I've never been accused of stealing photographs. Stealing hearts, yes, but not photos.

I’ve never been accused of stealing photos, if there was anyone out there who thought I bore a strong resemblance to them they’d probably never admit it

How do you know he's not just game playing this bullshit to get your attention?

Blimey, hope your friend managed to get them removed

"Do you like the drama? "

No, just curious to see if the attempt to reason with him rationally has had any effect.

Then it'll be a block-job.

Probably not, as he's just deluded by his own wrong-footed belief. It looks as though he thinks that this "sub" was spirited away from him, even though they had never even met. It's the same kind of thing when 60s teenagers were grief-stricken as they watched various members of the Beatles get married, being deluded that their heartthrob was being snatched from them.

Kind of. I wonder if it's the same person. The wording sounds similar but different. I was asked on here if I was a certain person, this person's ex. And if I wasn't her then I needed to stop using her photos. All our photos are me, he got blocked.

Nah. He's probably just a lonely person who thought that chatting to someone equated to some sort of commitment.

Well, to put an end to all this crap, I gave him my email address, one kept only for arranging sex meets. He sent me the photo of the mystery woman and, yes, it does look a bit like me, but definitely isn't.

He was able to see sense, and agreed it's another person entirely. No apology for accusing us to nicking someone's photo, but at least it's stopped his relentless hectoring.

NOW is the time to block!!

I've had a couple of guys message me out of the blue asking if I know so and so (different names and towns) and if I've been fucking her. Always a long way from me. Not the same as stealing pics but along the same lines.

Is it ultra jealousy? They see something that looks familiar and decide it must be the thing they thought it was?

Or just mental health issues?

In our experience, jealously plays quite a bit part in all this. The guy accusing us was in the Stoke area, and we're on the Isle of Wight, but even being at opposite ends of the country didn't make him see reason!

He thought my husband has spirited away a potential submissive from him (he hadn't even met her!!) and was blinded by his jealousy. And you are certainly right that the level of intensity it can reach teeters on the brink of mental health problems.

Yes I have. But it was my joint profile . The Nora side of me was quite flattered how angry they were that I’d nicked her pics
