"I love wheeler dealers. Mike is a lovely bloke. Met him at a few car shows. Favourite mechanics in order Ant Elvis Edd I also like Car Sos although I find a lot of the fake drama about the deadlines irritating because they usually have loads of time. Also find Tim Shaw’s on screen persona irritating but again I met him at a couple of car shows in real life and he’s just a top bloke with an encyclopaedic knowledge about cars. Best car content at the moment for me is Johnny Smith who has a YouTube channel called The Late Brake Show and a podcast too. " Also. I find Flipping Bangers oddly addictive despite the shocking amount of bodgery that takes place

Bit harsh. Millyard is a mechanical genius!

"Car sausage as these guys are genius! Some of the cars they renovate are no more than a heap of rust when they get them and they somehow turn them in to pristine cars. WD tend to change the oil, put a new wheel bearing in and adjust the tappets Both great programmes either way " Actually the wheeler dealer cars get way more stuff done to them than we see and there are more mechanics than the ones on screen. Mike works on them, Will Tricket from flipping bangers works on them too. It’s just that the format of the show only really lends itself to a few jobs being shown.

"I miss Ed" I was gutted he left but both the subsequent grease monkeys have been upgrades on him. Ant’s craftsmanship is up there with the very best. Elvis’s career speaks for itself and in my opinion both of them are better on camera than edd, especially Ant.

"oh and wheeler dealers I loved Ed China and wasn't a fan of the other guy who didn't do much except buy the parts " He didn’t do much on screen except buy the parts. He does loads of work on the cars off camera and he writes and produces most of the episodes. So many people don’t get it.

" Well yes and he buys the cars but I see the skill of that job in the mechanic and Ed was a great mechanic

"Fast n loud is my favourite Pity beardy arron left " Really liked Fast N Loud but it became more of a drama than a car show. All the arguments between the other shop, all the fake drama about vital parts breaking the day before a deadline and then having to work through the night. Became as much of a farce as American Choppers.

Having taken out a few engines in my time he makes it look so dammed easy!" As a mechanic, Elvis but when it comes to restoration and customisation I’d have to say Ant. When it comes to explaining what he’s doing I’d say Ant just shades it ahead of Ed.

I’m 99% sure he still part owns Dowsetts as well as being an owner of the Radford brand too.

"On Car SOS I used to like it a lot more but it seems to be less and less about the restoration. Also the timelines are clearly horseshit. They amount of times they have pretended to do a full respray in a day. Or "the car is going back in 3 hours and the whole car needs rewiring". Anyone who has ever rewired a car knows that isn't going to happen in 3 hours even if its rewiring a 1960s Anglia!" On Car SOS they tend to have about 12 weeks to do the cars. And they will have about 4 cars in the shop at a time getting various bits done. I’d also give an honorable mention to Salvage Hunters Classic cars. Paul Cowland is one of the coolest guys in car TV and as much as Drew Pritchard is a bit of a twat, he’s got such a good eye for design and has some brilliant ideas about the subtle changes to make to cars.

My experience of meeting him albeit briefly a couple of times has been that he’s been a nice bloke.
