Sad day

little house on the praire

Woke up this morning and found one of my cats had died in her sleep.

She was 21 and very frail so I've half been expecting it for awhile.

So now I'm down to one cat. 18 and still lively. Hope she's around for a good while yet.

I won't have anymore while she's alive

That's very sad OP.

21 is a very full cat life.

I'm glad you'll have so many memories amongst the sadness.

Take care x

That's sad. I lost mine earlier this year, she was 23 and fell asleep on me and never woke up.

Now only have the having previously had as many as ten pets (including ). I don't plan on any more.

I'm so sorry OP. Our little furry friends are such family. 21 is venerable, and I'm sure she had most excellent whiskers.

Awww it’s sad when they go but peaceful dying that way. I’ve hurried a few over the years

I always mark the spot by planting some rare tulip bulbs from Amsterdam. Each cat has a unique personality, and we would choose the tulips with the kids that matched it

Oh I'm so sorry... My 16 year old boy is clinging on, but it won't be long unfortunately.... I've had two unexpected and golden years as he's slowly deteriorated

I'm so sorry Diamond, lots of love.

I know,like me you're a big cat lover.

I bet you gave her an amazing life.

I lost my 19 year old cat a few years ago, I've since gone on to rehome 2 more, but I totally get why you're not getting another one.

Wirral.

Ah, so sorry to read this. But going in her sleep at home is the best way she could have gone And what a fabulous age.

My furbaby went a few months ago & I still miss him terribly.

Animals are truly a blessing, but the gut wrenching hurt when they leave us is the price we pay for their love
