I keep getting corrected on here saying that panties are American and that English word is knickers. I hear them called briefs and pants and thongs of course. All the women in my family call their underwear pants and the Tena products are pants. It seems that anything goes so what do you call them?

When a girlfriend who watches too much American tv says to me “ I just peed my panties” it sounds sexier than “pissed my knickers”

Tonypandy.

If they are pretty / lacy I call them knickers.

If they are practical stretchy shortie style, they are pants.
