You know the feeling you have not seen your dog for a while. When you get home they can't contain themselves . Zooming all over you .

Oh yes. That mad 5 minutes until she's totally knackered.

Kitchen to living room, hall, up the stairs to the bathroom around. Turn around and back to where she started...

My dog does bonkers ones. Even tell her to do them now. She loves it before a walk.

No exactly zoomies, but she kinda howls/crows a bit like a husky would and she can “smile” where is shows her teeth from the occasion of it all.

I’ve being trying to teach her to “smile” on command but she’s not picking up what I’m putting down

I used to love it when our cats got the zoomies. We used to say "s/he's got the bugger in her/him".

The wild eyes, swishy tail, the wide-front-paws-crouchy pose...

He's a little on the old side now so less often and suffers for it a little after in stiffness but yes, the zoomies never truly leave a good boy :P

Ours does even if you’ve just put the bins out - acts like it’s been a whole day without seeing us.

Also has to find a shoe to give to us

My two lash around the house after a walk for 5 minutes

They have a route downstairs jumping over sofa's and in and out of rooms

Then then run up the stairs and run in and out of every bedroom door open across the beds and back down

Then they collapse and fall asleep

Love them to bits

What a fantastic thread.

My sproodle loves a zoomie - eldest goes one way, youngest the other and the dog goes nuts running backwards and forwards between them

My chubby little house hippo is 11 years old now so the zoomies have slowed down a lot but I do get a little dance still and a propeller tail to show his happiness

Oh yes, those zoomies. Nearly got expelled from doggy daycare due to his zoomies but thankfully they can control them now.

Somewhere In The Ether…

You can always tell how happy my pooch is by the power of her wag; When she’s overjoyed her tale wags with such gusto that her whole back end starts to sway along with it like as though she has an articulated trailer attached.

My pooch does the latter also; she suddenly runs away as though fleeing the scene of the crime.
