According to a survey by Starling Bank, named after a bird but surprisingly has no branches, the average woman does 36 hours a week of household chores. Men do 9 hours less per week but their perception is that they do more than women and the report says that men's perception does not meet reality. The interesting question from Tom is. What is an average woman and what does she look lke. Are you average?

Do you identify as average? It's all over the news

My ex husband said he did everything. He didn’t work and did no housework, besides a bit of cooking

Excommunicdo.

I’m wondering what use a bank has with the results of the survey.

Seems an odd bit of market research for a bank.

It’s why it’s an app only account for women. The can access their shopping money from the kitchen. Genius really.

It’s starling bank , Still trying to grab all the Revolut and Monzo customers. Ability to engage will help with the investment they need.

Mr KC does the majority of the housework here. Practicalities, mainly. It's really tough to push a hoover whilst manoeuvring a wheelchair. Do-able, but really hard and painful.

Carlisle usually

I'm not average.

I also choose to live alone. But I'm pretty sure all my male partners spend more time doing housework than I do. At our own homes, obviously.

My ex used to think he did everything when in reality he only occasionally did the washing up. Which I more often than not would have to behind him and re wash as there'd still be food all over everything. Weaponized incompetence at it's finest

somewhere

I do the majority of the housework, I do slightly less hours than Rubik and to he honest, his head just doesn't see the same thing I do lol but if I ask him to do something he will smash it out for me without a problem, I just have to nudge him!

I like doing the housework to be honest, my mum was very much a housewife to my dad and I've kinda followed in her footsteps, if I can I do like to have dinner ready for when Rubik finishes work or when he is on his break if I'm on a late but he hates that, we do the fairshare of cooking and whoever cooks the other washes up etc.

I cook and clean, she does the washing and ironing. Works for us and if any of us get arsey about it we switch for a couple of days and realise we prefer the original setup.

I’m not average. I cook.

I don’t clean, wash up, do the washing, fold clothes, change bedding, etc.

I haven’t done any of those things in over a decade. I live alone.

I guess it was a mean average, so you'd need to get into their datA model Tom, to find out who this means one could be.
