Does chiselled abs put women off

A question for the purposes of fine tuning my profile, does a man’s profile displaying chiselled muscles put most ladies off?

I do recall one lady saying “in her mind, this comes will a level of expectation placed on her”

If your body puts someone off that’s their problem. I’m assuming you’ve worked hard for it so show it off.

If people are put off by something you have or are or do, is the answer to hide it or just find people more aligned with wanting you?

Not everyone is gonna like your profile

Some ladies like muscular men with abs

Some ladies like men with dad bods

If they don’t like what they see, it’s fine they can move on.

If you don’t like what you see you can do the same .

That’s the beauty of ‘freedom of choice’

A lil experiment for you…

Get a lady that has turnt you down

Look at her profile

Look at the kinda men she already had Veris from

That’s probably the type they prefer

Showing there’s much more then good abs, with different pics and a good detailed profile will get you a lot more attention.

You need something to draw you in to a profile but you then need something to keep people interested.

I think for some women it can be a confidence thing, they can't imagine that someone who spends considerable time on their physic would be interested in them when their body type isn't gym buff. Personally I find a lot of guys like softer curves and it's the difference to their own body that holds the attraction, I wish more women were confident in their sex appeal regardless of body type.

You have an incredible body op, reminiscent of a Greek god

In times past, I might have been dubious of one so chiseled having the slightest bit of interest in my very wobbly bits, especially after teen years of the fit lads in school bullying the chubby girls by asking them out and laughing if they dared to say yes

But a couple of years on this scene have made me realise that there really is someone for everyone, and even gym fit men can be into softer bodied women.

Seeing as that is the majority of us, not every woman is going to necessarily believe you when you show interest, Even if it's sincere!

I trained for myself not to attract women, some woman liked it or some didn't.

Maybe they made a snap judgement and thought I was arrogent without even gettimg to know me. But I defineatly had more success then when I was a skinny .

However I used to get a kick when guys spoke to me on how thay wouldn't want to look like me (errrr ok) and that his girlfriend told him that women don't like guys with big muscles.

I replied with, "Yeah shes just telling you that so you don't feel insecure"

Eyes and mouths are more of an allure for me, along with the personality - if you have all of that along with chiselled abs then that’s great. Just the same as a chap with a “dad bod”. Experienced both and each were attractive to me because of the first attributes.

As mentioned above, always an inner niggle for me that the more chiselled are not going to be interested in my lardy ass so rarely make the first move.

No thats not what I think but I'm going back to when I when I was massive and going out to a bar or nightclub I guess I stuck out! I got insulted a lot and people seem to think thats OK. I got called a freak, gay etc.

Would you go up to a random person in a bar and say they were too fat or too skinny? No! But people used to think it was fair game for some random to say I was too muscular and girls don't like it. I was just responding to being insulted by hopefully messing with his head.

Another example is randoms felt it was OK to just walk up to you and ask if you used steroids! Thats a very personal question. to which I would reply

"well thats my business but would it make you feel better about yourself if I said yes"

Randoms would also say that muscular people cou;dn't fight and challenge me! I was usually able to defuse it and if it really got bad I would say OK lets go outside. Funny enough they would back down.

I was just minding my own business on a night out with friends.

If you are on a night out and some random walked up to you and said "fancy a shag" you then turn him down so he calls you a slag.

Did you ask for that? No was it acceptable behaviour? NO!

Would you say something back to him in retelation? I don't know you but I'm sure plenty of women in that situation would say something back to take him down a peg.

Men get harrassed as well as women, neither is acceptable

But surely I wouldn’t be messaging saying I like a curvy girl if that’s the case? Or is it just a polite way of saying piss off?? Haha.

To be fair, it’s not just about the body though. You’d be surprised that I probably have more body hang ups than most, even though I keep in shape"

That's true... but there's always a little part of me that thinks " are they bullshitting me? " .... I suppose I have so little self esteem I don't really believe anyone finds me attractive lol....

"I love a woman with curves. But they seem to be put off by my “gym” body.

So I find it a struggle at times to find the right women

It's probably because us curvy girls think there's no way a gym bodded guy would be interested in us... yay for low self esteem lol

I get that, cos men can bullshit on here I’m sure haha.

But I’d think…. Fuck it! And take advantage of that’s your thing. Use it to your advantage

Are you in my head too?!

My self esteemed had been so low in the past, I don't understand how I attracted flies, let alone men.

Thank goodness I'm getting a bit better.

You do you, OP. As others have said, some like toned people, others don't. As long as you're a decent person, that's what counts in the end! x

If someone is willing to chat a bit, I know there's a bigger chance they're not just after getting their dick wet. In which case, abs or no, I'll assume a mutual attraction and continue to see where it goes.

Not everyone is gonna like you regardless personally I was really skinny and an addict (I'm not now been off it 16 years) I worked on myself and my body and I'm proud of it it takes alot of effort, time and dedication in my mind they are great attributes for any guy. If they don't like it I won't take it personally I know how hard I worked to get in shape n I'm in my 30s and best shape I've ever been in I'm happy with mine if someone don't like it that's cool I'm just not for them n I accept that. Train a few times a week now just to maintain it and I'm good so I say be proud of your efforts it's not easy to do

"The point of a profile is to attract the people you like and who will find you attractive in return. "

This is obviously a 'look at me' post - so it's working well.

Well done Op.

I love the way it looks and I know they are strong enough to throw me about a bit, however and this is totally on me not the guys, I wonder if they really like my body type given its very opposite to theirs and yeah it intimidates me a little. A decent co conversation usually sorts that out though

"A question for the purposes of fine tuning my profile, does a man’s profile displaying chiselled muscles put most ladies off?

I do recall one lady saying “in her mind, this comes will a level of expectation placed on her” "

Would put me off but would make me wonder what such a person sees in me and are they trying to get to meet me as a joke x
