I don’t do the typical British holiday where people sit by a pool all day every day and never leave a resort. I’d go mental in a couple of hours.

For some reason, our favourite holiday ever was Arizona a couple of years ago. We stayed in Flagstaff and went to the Grand Canyon and drove along route 66. We hope to do the whole Route 66 from Vegas to Santa Monica at some point.

Try Tromsø towards the end of the year. There are people there but as a balance there is only a few hours of dusk light per day.
