Anyone else worry about arranging meets, but then suffering snotty, runny noses, sneezing and itchy eyes, and feel like it will ruin the meet. Do I just wait till autumn?

I discovered hay fever Wipes this year and they have been a game changer, they have really helped with instant relief. I have hardly felt like my eyes are turning inside out at all.

The last week has been really bad, I have prescribed tablets which usually work but not this week.

Even cancelled my dentist appointment so not risky a furry cup visit if I got so lucky.

"We are smiley people!"

You are, and you look good together but the obvious contradiction in the two pics was a surprise.

As a long time and (bad) sufferer I can recommend Pirinase nasal spray, take a day or two to get going but its very effective, along with a pill, and occasionally eye drops all is good in the sneezing season now

Not sure if it’s common knowledge. But I was advised by my doctor years ago, you’re supposed to take antihistamines THE NIGHT BEFORE

I've had this since I was 5, so about 50 years now. Tried Beconase, Pirinase, many other varieties, sprays, pills, eye drops, injections, tests, all sorts. Still looking for something that works fully, but mostly it's dunking my head in a sink.

So glad I grew out of mine

I used to take 3 different types of tablets, spray and eye drops and still suffered

Apparently there's an injection you can get which is meant to be a game changer but I don't know anyone personally who has had it x

Aw just seen the NHS stopped using it in 2019 due to side effects

That's a shame

I have had hay fever and asthma since five years old. I now have to buy my tablets ( Zirtec) as doctor will not prescribe any more. I did the clinical trails for these . Ones to replace zirtec. Had allergic reaction and put me in hospital. My hay fever starts in about March . Tree pollen . So now over. But will get again in late August when as name says hay ( grass pollen ) fever starts. So nothing arranged say March and late August.

Kenecort injections literally will change your life if you have bad hayfever, I used to get it terrible would take 4-6 of the “one a day” tablets to no effect tried all the sprays ect ended up just accepting that was life for many years putting up with it till found the injections honest it was a new lease of life went from sneezing 100+ times a day to zero sneezes in a week honest they changed my life as my allergies were year round just milder in winter and the injections made me normal again I urge anyone to try them

"I'll see if I can get them."

I think they are only available privately now and cost 80-120 quid, I buy 2 years worth online for about £40 and that’s using 3ml a time vs the 1ml they usually give (others might not need that much) I know not everyone up for jabbing themselves and would rather pay the extra to have a professional do it. Happy to share the link if wanting to go that route

Mines been unreal this summer. 180g Fexofenadine works for me mostly. Can get it in 120mg pills at Tesco under brand name Allevia, so I just take a pill and a half daily while the pollen is high like this

I’ve had the injection and it worked wonders. Unfortunately they only allow you to have it every two years. If I could find another place to get it I would. Can’t recommend enough.

I get the pollen jab every year it’s £50 in your ass cheek but it does seem to help , I spent years with my eyes looking like a puffer fish and and runny nose , every now and then it does play up but rub a bit of Vaseline around the nostrils
