I'm eating a great deal of them lately and I am finding my meat cravings subside. A serving of beans (about 4oz) is equal to only 1oz of steak. I usually eat at least an 8oz steak. So a lot more protein in the steak. Unless you eat 4 times as much beans as any sane person would. From what I can see online 100g of chickpeas is 19g protein 100g steak is 25g protein It's pretty comparable.
