Southampton (they/them)

‘The pain that you’ve been feeling can’t compare to the joy that is coming.’ Romans 8:18

(This is an over simplistic version of the original quote and is interpreted in that way.)

I’m feeling proud of myself for everything that I’ve gone through and survived, and I think you should be proud too

If you’re going through a tough time, it’s going to get better, and I’m cheering for you every step of the way

I like Matthew 6:34

'Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient into the day is the evil thereof '

In other words let tomorrow take care of itself

My dad's always telling me this. Along with Joshua 1:9

The Big Smoke

I read a variation of 1 Corinthians 13:4 at my mums funeral. It was kindly written by a poster on these forums and it struck such a chord with me I read it to my own mum

Weirdly in life. Solace can be found in the strangest of places. I am open to it. Always.

Love.

It should not be painful.

Love should be patient and kind.

It should not envy or boast.

It is not arrogant or rude.

It does not insist on its own way.

It is not irritable or resentful.

It does not rejoice at wrongdoing…

but rejoices with the truth.

Love bears all things…

believes all things…

hopes all things…

endures all things.

Love never ends.

Love is the common denominator in how we relate to others…or to ourselves.

Love is a tricky word.

It’s most often understood as an intense feeling of deep affection.

It can also transcend a feeling or emotion.

If it’s painful, you would have to question if it’s love at all.

It’s ok darling honestly. Death is inevitable. But joy in people’s lives should be cherished. Always. Some kind person on fab posted this. I thank them for that x

I re-read the book of Job recently, the message version by Peterson.

Really good, if you’re ever struggling to understand the purpose & nature of suffering it really helps see the big picture.

But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and he will stand upon the earth at last.

And after my body has decayed, yet in my body I will see God!

I will see him for myself. Yes, I will see him with my own eyes. I am overwhelmed at the thought!

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.
