It was flagged for VAR check and then it went to that rigmarole where the on field ref jogs over to the little tellybox and watches it back from 73 different angles. I'm never clear if the VAR team behind the scenes actually make a recommendation at that point, but as we know with that decision where a ref totally overruled VAR and the audio was leaked, it's the on field ref who gets the final say. And yes, that was a male ref on this occasion. My comments about XYZ FC stand. | |||
