@TMN, do you realise that your opening gambit is a symphony to my ears?!

Bring forth the log fires, the kicking of dry Åutumnal leaves, the mulled wine, comfort food and Jam Roly Polys, the merino knitwear and the warm kisses.

Anyway .. ** PEDANT ALERT **

Nights aren’t drawing in just yet .. sunsets continue to be slightly later for the next few days.

It’s actually MORNINGS that initially draw in.

Sunrise is later meaning the total amount of daylight reduces from the solstice .. but nights continue to draw out!

In a few days time both the mornings and evenings reduce in daylight!

Do I win £5?

.

No NipNips, no. We're finally getting a British Summer.

So it's time for cute sundresses, early sunny morning walks whilst the world is calm. Strawberries freshly picked, salads eaten that remind you of the joy of eating healthily. Cute rural beer gardens. Late dusky, balmy nights kissing someone you have a crush on until you melt in to them. Ice cream lazily eaten in parks, in gardens. Freckles deciding now is a good time to make a full appearance, sprinkled liberally on faces and décolletages alike.

It's also time for people to complain. Repeatedly. It's warm. People get sweaty, a bit grumpy. They sneeze. Wish for colder, darker days.

It's a happy time for me at least.

Oh don’t.

I wish it were almost autumn fashion time again…

Cashmere cardigans, woolly hats, corduroy slacks and dirty brown ankle boots.

Roll on autumn.

Wow, I’m getting some hate on here

Calm down people, I actually delight in these light summer nights. There was still some light in the sky at midnight last night

P.S. bad luck Willy, I did know that about the sunsets, no £5 for you!

If Autumn turns out to be warmer than spring and the first month of summer, I'm celebrating.
