If you could go back to a time in history and live there for a year without causing any knock on effect to what has happened since that point where would you go back to?

I suppose it depends on what kind of person too. It’s always a good time to be white, male and rich but I’d probably choose the early 20th century with the technology drive that was happening.

Being working class and dying of tuberculosis aged 13 in agony with rickets sounds less appealing

England 1985, great music, great hair, I'd spend the year listening to music in record shops, watching video nasties whilst trying not to asphyxiate from all the hairspray fumes

In theory a year in Anglo Saxon times sounds ok. In practice I don't want to live anywhere but the present.

I could adapt to no running water, toilets, kitchens, modern medicine, electricity etc etc but I wouldn't enjoy it for a month let alone a year
