looking to get a new Freesat box; a HD box with built in recorder..

it apparently has ability to record two channels at same time but to do so needs feeds into LNB1 and LNB2 connections..

question to the experts is...

would that require a dual LNB dish .OR. can such a box manage two channels by way of a splitter box splitting a single LNB feed?

comments appreciated

In Your Bush

Your dish needs dual LNB's to get two signals

Gravesend

when we upgraded sky sent a dual receiver head which replaced the single head on the dish. it required twin coax cable which connected to both coax sockets in the back of the new hd box

yeah twin lnb and dual "shotgun" cable between that and the box. have a word with the local sky installer, thier usually self employed and will usually sell you them for cheaper than anywhere else
