Which messages to bother opening ?

Couples, ladies (and maybe even some gents) get a lot of message traffic… so I was wondering how you decide which ones to open, which to just delete and which ones to just ignore?

I assume you can’t open every single one and decide from the content?

We open most check there profile if we think we might match we reply and if not then we either just delete or reply with a polite no thanks

If the person sending the message has a blank profile pic, a dick profile pic or a single male profile who has a profile pic that is mostly a woman get deleted unread usually.

Will probably open any of the rest, unless we can see it's low effort from the preview.

I have decent filters so don't get a gazillion messages. I am lazy about going through them though, so they do tend to build up.

I delete any that open with graphic sexual content. If the bit on preview is "wanna drain my balls over them tits" then the message isn't getting any better from there.

Others I tend to read the message and look at profiles, but I'll open "hi" before I delete when I look at the profile and it says "fill in later". I can't be arsed dragging information out of people to see if we're a decent fit any more. I do read the messages though, all one word of them.

I open all of my messages because, relatively speaking, my inbox isn't insurmountable compared to the women on here.

Which ones I reply to is an entirely different matter - pussy photos (yes it happens) are given a "no thank you" before being discarded; unimaginative 'blag one liners' are given a wide berth; the remaining are treated with a modicum of graciousness and civility.

If they're bonk-worthy I'll open those messages too.

Bir harder now they have taken the header away, I hardly bother to open any messages now.

Depends what the first couple of lines say, usually I open the ones who say "love your profile" and then go on about wanting to meet me, so sometimes I answer with "did you read my profile".

I don't open a message until I've read the profile. If they are my type I open the message. If its a bad message, I delete it. Only time that changes is when a guy demands a reply or tells me what to do with his message, then I do the opposite

unfortunately for us that is us being entirely honest... its very thin around us with what we are mainly looking for so messages from interested people are extremely rare and getting even rarer these days

the only messages we tend to get now are from forum threads

If they start with "meet now", "u accom", "hnh", "u drive" get left.

If its just "hi/hey" will have a look and profile and have a chat. Usually a good start if they can have a chat as if meeting face to face.

If it looks remotely interesting I will check look at the profile pic, if that doesn’t put me off then I’ll check their profile out and if that still hasn’t put me off then I’ll open the message… then I’m usually put off by the content so delete anyway

If I can see it's just 2 or 3 words, I just delete anyway ie hey/hi.

i actually emptied it today - this morning from the 30 over night and then just cleared another 60 and now have 10 in there

- its never ending and i have filters on - and if anyone says they dont get a reply - write something different - 60 message 'hi hows your day' yea - copy paste

Process of elimination. I first delete messages from anyone without a profile pic.

Next is any message that's overly explicit. Yes, you can tell without opening the message.

Then delete messages from users with the name daddy or Dom saves both our time.

Then from what's left I'll open one if it seems ok and I like the look of their profile pic.

This is only when I have filters down for certain forum threads. Otherwise not many come through

If can read it in its entirety without opening it, I don't open it.

If its “hey, hi, wot u up to” I don’t open it.

If i can see “you’s “ I don’t open it.

Other than that, i’ll open it.

I’d like to think I’m worth putting more than one word in a message, if you’re going to send one why not make it like its taken more than 2 seconds.

We do if we send one.
