Got deleted, so I blocked her, not because I’m a spoilt brat throwing a tantrum but because for me on here it’s good housekeeping and means I won’t message and bother the lady again, anyone else do this or am I OCD

I would absolutely love it if more people did that than the ones who just message again when they forget they've already shot their shot

If you're being OCD, don't bloc, instead save your message in private notes so if you're about to message again or whoever messages you, you have it to read again. You can then see if you would have replied or you give back the ignore with added mwahahhhahaa

Would be the best way or at the least make a note on the profile to remind you it was a firm no thanks.

It's better for both parties.

I had several messages off one person over two months. In those messages he'd apologised twice for messaging me a second time

I felt bad not replying, so told him he's too local and blocked to avoid a repeat performance.

Second star to the right…

It’s a good practice and some women do it.

I think it prevents a nasty message for basically saying “your not what I or we are looking for”

I don’t take offence.

But i always used to delete the message and block if I got a read but no reply or deleted.

Nope, very sensible Fabmin.

That or a private note so you don't message again, but still want to look at their profile/perve their hot pics.

Lots of people do it, if it works for you then who cares what anyone else thinks.

I have opened messages from guys before and gone back later to reply to find they've blocked me.

When I get to over a hundred messages I deleted all my messages.

It doesn't mean I not interested in a person just trying to keep on top of my message.

She wanted to reply, she was waiting for you to visit... But pressed delete by accident. But if you're looking for housekeeping I have a pile of ironing for next weeks work shirts to do.

Nothing wrong with this, I do the same. They have no obligation to tell you they're not interested so blocking them to ensure you don't mistakenly message them again is good practice.

I think it's sensible of you op, saves you sending her another message in future.

The block button is a great function on here.

Sunniest Exeter...

No issues as far as I can see. If, whoever you were messaging was interested in you, then they would reply.

Use the housekeeping tools as you are fit, and find someone thats interested in you.

Galway, Clare

I blocked a guy just last night for repeatedly sending me messages even though I'd opened none of them. The last straw was the message he sent last night giving out because I'd commented on a forum post but hadn't bothered replying to him.

My logic is also only message ladies when they are actually online, I know this could add more vagueness as they might be online and not actually paying attention

Ladies in here do get hundreds if not thousands of messages and sifting through that isn’t easy and in my own uninformed opinion it’s just as hard for the ladies as the men, just my two pence worth so don’t shoot me for it.

I think the ladies should from time to time change the age range they are looking for to something random like 41 to 41 (choose your number) as not only does this restrict your messages but it also allows the ladies to carry on messaging who they want any age without seeing the inbox racking up the numbers whilst online, maybe there should be a sort of implementation of best practice, who knows

I do this when I know I'm not even gonna look at them, it's a tad egotistic just to leave it to rack up knowing full well you'll just bulk delete.
