Anyone else find this place bad for their mental health? As in you take time to message and put effort in, but get zero responses?

Second star to the right…

If it’s affecting your mental health best give the site a break. If you’re not enjoying yourself why keep making yourself feel down.

Good luck and i hope you make the right decision for you

Agree. I've left and returned a few times. When I am not enjoying this place I leave.

It shouldn’t effect you in such way.

Just because you don’t get a reply?

What it means is, you just haven’t come across the right one yet (obviously apart from pfp).

Either soldier on or have a timeout

It's a form of social media. All social media is bad for your mental health.

If youve recognised it, great. Now you need to action it and maybe look at ways to protect yourself

All the best OP

Maybe you need a break if it's affecting you like this . I think the males massively outnumber females here so I know I get a little bit of attention and always try to reply. It's probably difficult to read and reply to all messages here xx hope you find some fun soon xx

Don't let it get you down.

Sounds like you need to distract yourself by doing something else instead of scrolling through here.

Go outside, take a walk, read a book, watch a movie, make a cup of tea. Just do something else, Fab will still be here when you get back.

You won't have missed anything.

If it's getting you down take a break.

This should be fun not damaging your mental health.

Unfortunately rejection will happen a lot, not everyone is into everyone and that's ok.

The ladies of Fab are like buses; nothing for ages, then 3 at once….

Hide your profile and take a break for a while. You’ll meet more women on an average night out in town, than you will in here, so never let this place get you down. Fab is an extra to life, and not to be taken too seriously. Good luck mate

If its not fun then get out. I find not taking it too seriously is the best approach. Feel better OP.

This site has no impact on our mental health and we dont really take this place all that seriously.

As others have said OP you might need to take a break

Hate to break it to you OP but getting no response from a first message is just the start of it. It can be worse.

If your mental health is taking a dip take a break like others have said. I’d also say think about whether or not you even want to be on here. That’s where I’m at now.

The website hold no value. I found I could easily delet my account when I felt like it was giving me bad energy.

It’s the people I talked to that held good value to me. There are good people here and there, you may already be talking to sone op, just stick with the positives of being here.

If you can’t find any, I’d suggest logging off and return later and see if things have changed.

Things won’t change, it will always be the Wild West, I’ve been on here on and off for 9 years, deleted accounts and then come scuttling back.

Best way to look at it is the same way I use all social media, it’s just a tool to facilitate things, like Facebook Instagram etc are for seeing what people want you to see and know so treat that as not the full story, In here treat fab as an experience, use the forums regularly because at least then you are getting some interaction with like minded folk but definitely if you feel like you want to meet someone but aren’t getting anywhere then dip out, get to the point where you can take it or leave it

Remember your mental state is worth more than anything you can see on your phone, protect it, thick skin OP thick skin

If you acknowledge something is bad for your mental health, especially if you know it's not something you need to be doing, surely the best bet is to take a break and work out what you actually want to do

"You need to know when to walk away"

Succinctly put.

I concur with the honourable gentleman.

In my experience this is a site, which requires considerable patience. Relax in the lounge have a virtual . Discuss boobs, political issues but not politics play spin the bottle and truth or dare.

Maybe fate will smile upon you once in a while.

If you start eating food and don’t like the taste you stop eating it. Social media should be the same.

If you don't eat it, then it will be there for your breakfast.

Yeh it did for me before tbh. This place altered my self worth a little bit before.

And then I went out for a stag do and found myself mingling in every bar I went into which kinda put things into perspective for me.

So I gave here a break, and now I’ve returned with zero expectations and don’t reach out to new people.

It’s just here in the background.

Just go out, do some real life-ing, mingle, remind yourself that you aren’t absolutely repulsive and then return and have this run in the background.

Fab isn’t reflective on true life mate, this is a completely different environment.

Don’t let it affect your self worth, go out and socialise.

"Anyone else find this place bad for their mental health? As in you take time to message and put effort in, but get zero responses?"

The anxiety you are experiencing is the difference between expectation and reality.

You expect your efforts to result in chat and sex and it 's not happening.

It's not you - so do not let it affect the way you feel about yourself.

Stop putting all your energy into things that don't bring you pleasure and certainly not into things that bring you pain.

If you carried on sending ooodles of messages and suffering head bash when you don't get replied then I would think you were behaving mentally!

Chill ..... limit yourself to one message a week.

Go to socials.

Speak to people in here.

Do something for the old woman next door ( no not that )

It'll happen soon enough. BTW.... you seem to have sodded off anyway.

Don't leave ..... that's running that is. Just change the way you operate.

My advice is to hide your profile for a while and have a break.

I deleted my profile last year due to ill health instead of hiding it, this meant I lost my verifications which took a long time to build up. I'm back again now I'm feeling better and starting from scratch. It will be a slow process meeting new people and a lot of rejection, but eventually it will happen.

Just don't walk away, you might regret it. Think positive and the rewards will come.
