Positive depiction of bi guys

Finally a positive depiction of bi guys on tv.

It was absolutely wonderful to finally see a greedy girl on mainstream telly and 2 bi guys interacting without there being judgement or subtle nods to it being wrong.

To your knowledge, has there been other positive instances of bi guys in film or tv?

I don’t know about the show you speak of.

But I’ll be happier when it doesn’t even make news that it’s happened.

Not sure if it made the news but it was a revelation and very much needed.

I seriously can't think of another instance where bi guy encounters are enacted on telly. It was on a extremely popular show on Netflix

Maybe a little off subject and not seen the show you are talking about.

However I have bi on my profile as I consider myself open to most things and have done for many years. I have met women, men, TVs, & couples and had lots of fun. However I do get a lot of messages from “straight” guys some are the usual do you want to suck me off (in other words I’m getting desperate to shoot and as your bi you’ll want to suck any cock you can get and be grateful because I can’t find a woman).

But also a lot from others and when I say you’re straight they say I’m not but I don’t want people to know I’m bi on here.

I thought here was a safe place we can all be ourselves without judgement. If I read a profile and it’s says don’t want to meet bi guys, that’s fine by me it’s their choice. Same if they say black guys only not an issue I’m not black again their choice.

I just don’t get why folks can’t be open on a place like this.

It was the best part of rather dull season

I guess there's still a stigma surrounding bi guys.

Bi females are unicorns, so I guess that even here where one would think acceptance would reside; there is still judgement galore!

I get guys messaging me with straight on their profile and when I point out that I am seeking a bi guy, they state that straight females don't want to be with bi guys, which is nonsense as there are a load of straight females that adore bi guys here as per a previous thread.

You can only be yourself and no worry about what others think, at least that's what I do.

Hope that helps

Oddly, I get messages from "straight" guys who was to suck me off

A safe place is only a safe place if others allow and accept you. Not everyone is so forthcoming with acceptance of sexual orientation, etc.

I've not seen the show but aye, I can't think of any screen depictions off the top of my head.

In terms of straight male profiles that are actually bi, yeah, I get it, I did it myself on here at the start when meets were an extreme rarity. I did it because female profiles I liked said in the bio that they wouldn't meet bi guys. Then I saw bi couples profiles that wouldn't meet straight guys. So I changed my profile depending on who I was messaging a couple of times.

And that was irritating so I quickly though "fuck em, be yourself, be free." I'm kinky and bi, I tried to hide both just to have more widespread appeal but that's shite craic, counter productive and dishonest to me and the people i was messaging.

Fab honestly became much more fun when I decided not to be desperate. You can't please all the people all the time and there's no point trying.

In terms of Fab being an inclusive space, that's a pipe dream. The site itself accepts all types but it's also populated by humans so bigotry is guaranteed.

I messaged a woman one time and she said that although I seemed lovely she didn't meet bi guys because we all went bareback all the time and probably have HIV. So that's what we're dealing with at times

I would say that there is still

A stigma attached to us BI guys. Lots of profiles clearly specify “no Bi me” which is fine by me as everyone has likes dislikes and preferences. I find it annoying the number of guys who proclaim themselves as straight on their profiles will message me asking to meet. Clearly they say straight on their profile to improve their chances of meeting women or couples. Just be honest !

"Have I missed the part where we're told the series? "

As I didn't preface the post with "spoiler alert" I didn't want to spoil it for others but it's Brigerton.

I've always had a thing for Benedict and binge watched the 2nd half of season 3 last night.

I absolutely adore mmf (check the profile name, lol), so loved seeing it enacted in main stream media.

I completely agree with everything you've stated. Just be yourself.

I get straight guys telling me all the time that I'm wrong or crazy to like bi guys and that I need a "real" man, lol

The block button comes in handy for that.

Tom has bi on his profile and not once been approached by any male. However he has ladies literally queuing at his door.

Why is this?

I kind of understand why guys pretend to be straight but, it just appears dishonest to me and honestly, if they are not comfortable enough to be open, then they wouldn't be comfortable enough for me.

But on the other hand, I totally get why the lie about being straight as no one should be forced to out themselves and everyone needs the time to get comfortable with who they really are.

Yes we are

But it’s the personality as well, not just the being bi!

I get loads of guys messaging me “I’m bi”, literally those 2 words.

I delete as it tells me nothing about the person.
