"The black album and the blueprint by jay Z Nas- illmatic Dave - PsychoDrama J Hus- Big Conspiracy All of Biggie’s work Good kid maad city by Kendrick J Cole - Forest Hill’s Drive and KOD Kano- Hoodies all summer and made in the Manor Skepta- Konnichiwa Anything by Snoop Dogg I think these are albums that I think are best for people getting into different types of rap. "So I've been fairly rigid in my music tastes. I've always enjoyed various genres of rock from Indie, to Blues, to Alternative and Metal. However, I've not really given Hip Hop as rap much of a chance outside of Eminem (Sorry Pickle ), however, I recently really got into Run The Jewels and absolutely love some of the beats and lyrics and want to give more artists a go. Any recommendations? " Depends on the style you like. You might like Tech n9ne, Yelawolf, Mac Miller [rip] or Drake, Kendrick, J.cole or Paul Wall, Slim Thug, Mexican OT, Outcast or Redman, Mobb Deep, Nas different eras and styles

"Take a look at The Roots’s NPR Tiny Desk show on YouTube to see how powerful hip-hop acts can be. They bring in Bilal and a brass band, but they’re very much a hip-hop act overall. Agree on early Wu-Tang. Some of the solo albums in the 90s are great too. Also agree on Handsome Boy Modelling School. Why not delve in to some of the turntablists too, as that’s at the heart of the genre. There’s so many legends, like Premier, DJ Shadow (his Endtroducing album is stunning) etc. Skratch Bastid has a great YouTube channel and is hugely inventive. The best lyricists, producers and DJs in the genre are amazing (often not the ones everyone knows). I say that as someone who’s a classical musician, really ." Joell Ortiz - Sing Like Bilal is one of the most perfectly constructed hip hop songs of all time. Premo is the best to ever do it
