Somewhere to say it!

Alicante, Spain. (Sometimes in Wales)

So, this is just me saying something here because I don't currently have anyone to say it to in person and I want to talk about it.

I've met someone on a holiday who I thought was single and lives a long way away from me. I'm talking over 2,500km if driving!

Over 18 months we've been on the same trip three times and on the last trip we were very much a couple, albeit we had different rooms.

We had FANTASTIC sex 8 days in a row. I wasn't even sure I could do that anymore!!

I've fallen deeply and madly in love with her. She has very strong feelings for me too.

BUT ...... The casual boyfriend she has and I kew about, turns out to be a serious boyfriend and although she lives alone, she's not single.

I bounce between euphoria and depression and I won't see her face to face until December and we won't go on hols together for nearly a whole year.

So, I just wanted to say that, really.

Happy fabbing,

Gbat

Oh, Gbat, that's a very confusing situation to be in. No wonder your emotions are so unpredictable.

Sending hugs.

You have a dilemma there, could there be a potential trust issue, if she hadn’t been accurate in explaining her circumstances, on the other hand, sounds like you’re having a whale of a time.

Thanks for the hugs Mrs FC, cheers to the others for your comments.

I'm trying to enjoy what I've got going on, but I'm also dropping into "love sick puppy" mode sometimes, too.

That’s some driving , Will it not be better to get a flight?

I have a similar situation I have a girl in the Philippines that I only see 2-3 times a year but just tell her to find a self a nice boyfriend or FWB for when I’m not around, Then I don’t really think about her other than when planning a trip. Love and long-distance don’t go very well together

Single or not I guess you still wouldn't see them any more often?

I'd find other "friends" for the in-between.

Yeah, but it's the being in love that's tough. I want to see them more, but I guess I'll need to wait the other guy out.

Of course, he might stick with her and eventually I'll never see her again.

It's tough!

Is it love? Or infatuation? Lust?

"Is it love? Or infatuation? Lust?"

Good question! I suppose I could only answer you if I was certain of how you define those things.

When does infatuation become love?

There's tons of lust going both ways!

We've known each other 18 months and it's been a slow burn start. A LOT of chat since then, which is why I have a greater understanding of her home relationship.

I don't think there's an answer, I just wanted to talk about it.

I had to look Limerence up!

I've certainly got a desire for an intense romantic relationship with her, but there's nothing delusional. We talk everyday, unless she's with him.

Ta though.

Ouch that’s a wounder.

The nsa fun time person in me would be to just say enjoy it whilst it lasts.

But then we can all forget that it doesn’t translate into ‘just fun’ when our emotions come into play.

I’m guessing you’ve had a frank conversation with her? What is her response?

Im standing for anyone who hasn’t given into cynicism and can experience falling in love, no matter how complex. Wherever this goes OP I hope the journey is a joyful one.

The other guy is on her doorstep and I think she hopes it goes further. In the meantime, I think I'm her very enjoyable consolation prize.

There's a lot of tenderness between us and I think she's also in a bit of a quandary now. In her words, "I've got myself into a bit of a mess, haven't I?"
